How to lose fat in upper hip area?!

Question: I understand the you can't spot train, I just need some exercise suggestions to help work this area. I have been running & walking on my treadmill for 20-30 minutes a day, for a month. I am pretty slim thru my waist area but when you get to my hips.... look out. I also have a lil excess flab on my lower ab area. I have had this for sometime and I am looking to lose this. I have cut calories out of my diet to help w/ this. I know that I won't lose it over night. I exercise in the evening usually around 7pm or 8pm. Therefore, I am exercising after I eat dinner. Is this okay, or should I exercise before I eat dinner. I don't know if I am burning the calories that I just ate or if I am buring the stored fat. Is there anything else that I can be doing besides running & walking for 20-30 minutes... like certain exercises? I also have an exercise ball, are there exercises that I can do on this to help?

The best time to excercise is in the morning before you eat breakfast! When excercising at this time you get maximum results as you're body is burning pure fat... rather then the foods you have consumed throughout the day. Also, it speeds up your metabolism for the day which causes you to loose weight at a much more efficent pase... As far as loosing weight in upper hip areas, use a medicine ball hold it at your chest abdominal level and do twists either standing up or in the crunch position... it helped me .. it should help you as well =) .. good luck

If you go to the Fitness Magazine website, sign up, it's free. They have video workouts, some of which are target spots. They also have diet tips. I enjoy it. As far as the excess flab in the abs, I understand that increasing cardio is far more effective than crunches, etc.
