Soup all day?!

Question: I'm on a diet...this is my 3rd week into it...I have lost 5 lbs!? But I have been sick since last night and so today I only had tea for breakfast and for lunch I had a small salad but I didnt finish it and a cup of soup, then a little while ago, I had another cup of soup. For dinner, I will probably have soup again, since its really hard to keep things down. Its chicken noodle, its not homemade but its not canned, from a resturaunt.....and dinner will probably be canned soup. Is this really bad? How will it affect my diet?

when you are sick your metabolism goes up because your body needs extra energy to fight off the infection. don't get me wrong, this is not an excuse to pig out when you're sick but it just means that you shouldn't really worry about your diet when you are sick. eat what you can and make sure you're at least getting a little something every couple of hours to fuel your body so it can fight the infection as best it can. do your best to get better, that's all that counts. eating soup all day will not affect your diet.

its fine
soup altho good food
is high in carbs and salt
add water and you have bloat city

just dont do it every single day
congrats on losing weight :)

Ahhh...do you poop soup too?
Not a good way to diet, honey.

If you're ill, it's ok for a very short period of time. You may also lose weight faster but it's very un-healthy and you must remember that eating frequently is the way for long-term sucessful weight loss.

From dieting point of view it is better to change the diet every 2 weeks. Otherwise your body gets used with the diet and start to burn less fat.
So mi advise is: it is time to change the diet!
