Sore muscle problems, help?!

Question: okay.
I used to have this problem where i would wake up in the middle of the night with a shooting pain in my calf...
I heard it might've been lack of excercise or of some certain vitamon.
soo i started walking every day and i ate lots of banannas...
then i started going to the gym every morning and doing cardio workouts...

over christmas break i stopped going because everything was so hecktic and i was up late every night, and the only times i could go was very early and i couldn't wake up.

Just last night i woke up with the same pain, and it's very sore.
I'm going back to the gym next week...
but I havn't really lacked in excercise, i've been doing other things...
i'm just wondering whats the problem...
do i need to do a lot every day to keep this from happening.
I'm confused=[
thanks.

I have had this problem too.Im pretty sure its a cramp. When i get them,i feel a increasingly sharp pain, and it feels like ill never be able to move my leg again, like its paralyzed. It will go away, but then its back again.Try to go to sleep on a comfortable, soft bed in a comfortable position.Actually, doing all that work might be making it worse. It happens to me when i tense up my legs.Good luck sweetheart! :D

Do you drink plenty of water?Lack of water can dehydrate you and cause cramping.

ohhh..this has sooo happened to me before..and it always would happen when i was asleep..dont worry the feeling of being sore is temporary probably just one day! well for me i would get them because i wouldnt stretch during dance class..which your supposed to! otherwise its like pulling a muscle...what you keep getting is a muscle spasm..which can be lack of vitamins as well..to get rid of these..you dont necesarily need to go to the gym..just do a couple stretches at home that have to do with your hamstrings! good luck!!! :)
