Pros & Cons - Whey Protein vs. Creatine?!

Question: From personal experience what are the benefits of both and the negatives of both? I am a long distance runner who has started lifting to help improve my performance.

kinda hard to compare since they do different things

whey protein: protein helps build and maintain muscles. if you are an athlete you need more protein than an average person and its hard to eat all that throughout meals so whey protein is a supplement to gain the protein you may need

cons:its just as safe as eating a bunch of meat for their protein. however (VERY) high protein intake has been linked to certain cancers, but i hear you have to eat like nothing but meat all the time.

creatine makes it easier to perform exercises and recovery by easily transporting nutrients.

cons: if hydrates you muscles so you have to drink a lot(of water) to avoid passing out, also drinking alot of water is needed to prevent extra creatine building up in your body(not sure whether it is the liver like mentioned earlier or somewhere else). as long as you drink plenty of water(something you should do anyways) its safe.

Whey protein is great for rebuilding muscle quicker after lifting but can potentially be stored as fat if it's taken in excess, whereas creatine is great for better endurance (whether it be resistance or cardio) but can potentially damage your liver if you don't intake enough water.

BRO, DON'T BELIEVE THAT CRAP, CREATINE DOES NOT DAMAGE YOUR LIVER. RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO LONG OR SHORT TERM DAMAGE FROM TAKING CREATINE. I DON'T KNOW WHERE THIS PEOPLE GET THIS CRAP FROM.(I THINK THEY MAKE IT UP AS THEY GO ALONG), I'VE BEEN TAKING CREATINE SINCE IT CAME OUT IN THE MARKET, AND VERY RARELY DRINK WATER. I HAVE NO HEALTH PROBLEMS AT ALL.
