Have i a chance of losing weight if i eat just fruit and veg?!


Question: bearing in mind i usually eat anything and everything
i am a stone over weight
usual weight 9st.1
just weighed now and i,m 10st.2
surprised i am not 14st
cos i do eat alot of junk

by way
would like to lose something by the next three weeks as i am starting a new job and may give me extra confidence
if you know what i mean ladies :-)

right just fruit & veg isn't going to cut it I'm afraid... this isn't a balanced diet - you still need carbs, protein, fats & dairy to stay healthy.

Best thing to do, increase your fruit & veg intake, cut back on junk & eat lean meats like chicken, switch to skimmed milk, & use sweetex. Limit yourself to 1500kcals per day. I really don't think it would be sensible to eat just fruit and veg for 3 weeks - better to eat smaller portions of what you already eat and do some exercise

A healthy diet is a balanced diet! along with exercise!

Not just fruit and veg will help! also fibre, protein and carbohydrates!

If you go jogging every day, or any other sport that you enjoy, lets say for 30 or 45 mins, and cut down on the junk food, you will def loose some weight! Dancing works best for me.

EDIT: Oh and remember to have a good sleep! it helps the body to recover and adjust to the changes.

i wouldn't say you was over weight. but you are best eating things with less salt but still eat meat and your carbohydrates because they dont make you put on loads of weight

carry on eating what you like. drink plenty of water, and workout regular,,,,no problem, dont f**t about with diets, they dont work.

Yeah, but you'll get sickly, not healthy, and won't have energy.

The best way to lose weight is don't eat anything... I don't know why you should diet.

So I thing you can lose weight because it absolutely isn't substantial, so if you want to seem like skeleton - eat just fruit and veg!

Eating more fruit and veg will definitely help, but I'm sure you know you can't eat ONLY fruit and veg. The best way to get results would be to just eat less in general and be physically active. Try taking a walk each night after dinner. Fruits and veggies are good because they give you the sense of being full without eating as much. Try just having smaller portions each meal. Remember to keep it balanced with some proteins and grains and dairies etc. And of course, less junk food would help. Less food + more exercise= weight loss. You'll start seeing and definitely feeling results soon. You'll have more energy and feel generally well, and I'm sure that'll boost your confidence.

You will almost certainly lose some weight though it will not be very much and crash dieting is very bad for your body.
The best way to lose weight is to eat a balanced diet and take regular exersize (at least an hour a day).

You should eat at least 5 portians of fruit or veg a day. (if not more) Have some protien in each meal. (but cut out red meats) Cut down your in take of starchy, fatty and sugary foods. Drink extra liquids, decrease you portian size, have three regular meals a day, take extra vitamins and minerals (+cod liver oil ect.)

If you keep this going you'll be losing weight in no time.

if you sduddenly start just eating fruit and veg, and nothing else, it will play havoc with your stomach, it's best eaten as part of a healthy diet, try going to the gym, it gives confidence because it makes you feel good when exercising and seeing the results
