I'm vegan not because I'm on a "diet", but because this is a lifestyle choice.

My sister-in-law is a vegetarian. She also eats stuff like Frappuccinos, large muffins, potato chips, processed foods, etc. that are vegetarian, but far from healthy. I think it's a common misconception that Veg*ns are naturally healthy because of what they eat. There are plenty of vegan foods that aren't healthy either.

I eat whole real foods including pasta, bread and rice. (All whole grain, all vegan. Well, the bread has honey in it, but that's one of my gray areas especially since I have an omni husband who finally found a WW bread he likes.) I eat about three slices of bread a day. If I just have one with lunch, then I'll have a slice of toast with Smart Balance and cinnamon for a snack and a slice of bread with dinner.

For good information, either go to the vegetarian and vegan section in Answers under the Food category (I don't go there often since it's filled with ignoramuses) or to the following sites.

look up vegetarian diets on google, there are a ton.

u should be on one if you're a vegi, just layoff the rice and bread!! excersie eat healthy

loose the oily foods, they are the killers.
If you eat very large portion of pasta, try to cut them down to smaller portions.Eat many times in a day, instaed of 2 big meals.
