Protein drink??!


Question: i only do basic workout such as dumbells and crunches 3times a week. can i take those protein supplement drinks whenever i work out?? or only the people who goes to gym should take it?? will it improve some of my muscles if i only do those basic workouts?? or will it be flab.. --not that skinny and wanted to gain muscles--

It sounds like you don't need to waste money on special protein drinks. You are correct that you need a little protein after weight lifting, but a few crackers with peanut butter or a sm piece of chicken would do the trick. Try to eat within an hour of finishing your workout.

It will help put on mass but as you know, the more intense weightlifting program, the more protein will be used to create muscle. Unsed protein is simply expelled from the body

In reality I don't think you are doing enough of a vigorous workout to be able to take protein to repair your muscles but if you feel sore then you should take it because that means your muscle is tearing for more muscle which needs protein and other nutrients.

well yeah go ahead and take a protein shake after you workout
but you wud be WAY BETTER of if u do more ex/ bench press, squat, deadlifts, rather than jus dumbell curls and by joining a gym b/c they have more equipment.
just add more to ur workout and u'll get jacked in no time.

protein drinks actually ADD a lot of Fat to you so as long as you always work out i think it will be ok ...most people that take prtien boosts have weight issues i would suggest to stick with working out or having sex (it works out your Ab's ) :) good luck

ive experienced protein drinks. . . lame. They do nothing unless you work out. You probably consume an adequate amount of protein in the course of your day anyway.
