Answers: Can someone gain weight from drinking diet soda? and if so would it have to be ALOT? whats the deal?

diet soda is soooo bad for you! ugghh! all those FAKE sugars are like pooring chemicals in your body.

fact: Diet soda may be zero calories, but it INCREASES your appetite.

fact: the sweetners like aspartame found in DIET sodas are linked to cancers

you would problably eat less calories throughout the day if you switched your diet soda for normal soda HONESTLY

but i advise to not drink any soda at all because there is absolutely NOO nutritional value in soda, just calories

ALL "fake sugars" which are artificial sweetners and sugar substitutes stuff like that are BAD for you. Yep, even innocent little splenda.

heres some fake sugars off the top of my head:
maltitol, sorbitol, aspartame, splenda, sucralose, nutrasweet, sweet and low, and many more

if it doesnt say SUGAR, then its NOT sugar

anything sweet that doesnt have sugar in it, has fake sugar, unless it is naturally sweet like fruit

no

diet soda is still bad for you. you can gain weight from drinkign the same amount of diet soda as regular soda. The only difference between the two is that diet soda hasa bit less sugar making it lighter and fizzier.

you can't gain weight from drinking diet soda, but if you drink it for example with a meal it might give you the false feeling of feeling full and this might cause you to be hungry later on and over eat.

Well...it's not very high in calories but can be harmful to your health anyway. Diet soda often contains aspartame or sucralose and if you look at the website aspartamekills.com or mercola.com you'll see a lot of information on all the potential harms of artificial sweeteners.

Water cleanses the body and helps increase your metabolism so you can lose weight faster. I write a lot about diets and weight loss on my health blog if you're interested. http://healthniche.blogspot.com.

There have been studies that suggest it but I don't see how that's possible.

No, you can't gain weight from drinking diet soda since it has zero calories. It is a total myth when people say otherwise.

I don't think you can gain weight from it but diet sodas have a lot of sodium in them meaning you could have a lot of fluid retention which causes puffiness, swelling, etc.

pop is never good in any surcumstances, Yes it can make you gain weight, and if you remove it from your diet then you could be much healthyer

I've heard that there are studies that says diet soda can contribute to weight gain. I'm not getting it to be honest but whatever.

You CAN gain weight when you drink diet soda because people who drink diet soda tend to think it cancels out the calories in OTHER things so they eat MORE (I'm serious). I've seen people buy two DOUBLE cheeseburgers at Wendy's, then follow it up with "and a diet coke please."

Many people do gain weight from consuming diet soda, if you watch any of the programs about losing weight, many people use the idea of diet soda as free reign to drink way too much of it per day.

The additives and chemicals in diet soda can be worse for your body than regular soda. I have seen some people lose 10 pounds or more monthly by eliminating diet or regular soda. Soda causes a lot of bloat and weight gain.

Go on to the Live Your Best Life site and you will find some examples of real people who have lost by cutting soda and diet soda out of their lives. It is fascinating to see.
