Eat little amounts often, every two to three hours. Eat protein and veggies mostly. Stay away from breads. Exercise daily. And a few metabolism speeding tricks include. Eat smaller meals more frequently. Get enough aerobic exercise. Don't starve. Build muscle with weight training or resistance exercise. Water, water, water!! Get enough B vitamins. Try Chinese Herbs. AND Eat the majority of your food earlier in the day.

Only one way...exercise!!!! Aerobic exercise for at least half an hour every day is great. Nothing fancy, just take a walk at a good enough pace to get your heart rate up a little, or swim laps, play tennis, rollerblade, jog or jump rope, anything you can comfortably sustain. To get the best benefit, get the proper amount of protein (ask your doc or nutritionaist what's right for you), avoid refined sugar, keep your carbs and fat low, add some fiber and chow those fresh veggies.

I wrote a post a while ago on my blog about ways to speed your metabolism (check it out at healthniche.blogspot.com) but here are a few tips:
-lots of water
-lots of fiber
-grapefruit and grapefruit juice speeds metabolism (but be careful taking with meds)
-green tea
-spices (several will speed up your metabolism and keep it higher for hours after you eat)
-apple cider vinegar

The better you eat, the better your colon transit time will be as well. Be sure you're getting 25g of fiber a day. Better colon transit time = faster metabolism.

Go for good carbs instead of bad, too. Avoid enriched foods.
Cheers :)
