Will eating a tablespoon of honey everyday make you fat?!

Question: I read somewhere that honey contains carbohydrate. Will this make you fat and if it does, why?

Answers: I read somewhere that honey contains carbohydrate. Will this make you fat and if it does, why?

If you ate nothing but a tablespoon of honey everyday you would probably starve to death. I'm just joking.
Eating a tablespoon of honey everyday alone will not make you fat. Honey does contain carbohydrate, more specifically, simple carbohydrates (sugar).
Sugar is not very good for you, especially in large quantities. The reason sugar can make you fat is because if you eat too much of it, it will alter your insulin levels, slow down your metabolism, and if not used up for energy it will be stored by your body as fat.
This is not saying that a talbespoon of honey is bad for you. If you are already eating too much fat and sweets, it will just add to the problem. If you are following a healthy, balanced diet and exercising, it should not do you any harm at all. In fact, simple carbohydrates (like honey) can be beneficial to you when you wake up in the morning, and after you get done exercising.
I hope this helps!

no

Ooooh...hmm I don't know, but it sure is an interesting question!

no, its quite good, much better than jam (jelly in usa) as its all natural sugars.

doubt it but it might rot your teeth x

You gain weight when you ingest more calories than you burn. If the calories of the honey are not more than you burn, then you won't gain fat. If the calories are not burned, then they will be stored as fat.

No. This is a common myth. It only contains the calories it contains, but it is good for you.
