How can chocolates make you fat?!

Question: You want a specific number?
Look at the calories of the product, and divide 3500 by that number. That would be the expected amount you would have to eat to gain one lb of fat, assuming you ate a normal amount of food already that day (adding on to your meals).
Assuming a hershey bar has about 250 calories, you could eat 8 and still maintain a 2000 kcal diet for a day (in place of meals, mind you). But i wouldn;t if I were you. Candy is a treat and should be ingested sparingly, and regular exercise could never hurt. Every other day I treat myself to an ice cream bar after lunch, and my weight hasn;t changed at all.

It's not the chocolate that makes you fat, it's the sugar that's added to it.

the sugar makes ya fat

If you eat enough of them, you are taking in more calories than you are burning. And, chocolates usually have a high amount of fat and sugar in them. Unless you get totally sugar free dark chocolate.

the sugar in the chocolate makes u fat
1st it gives u energy but if that energy is not used it is stored as fat to be converted later
but some ppl dont convert it (those who r not very active or hav a poor metabolism) and it stays as fat

candies are very calorie dense. it isnt the food item that makes you gain weight. what happens is if you eat calorie dense foods you excede what you can use and your body converts the extra to fat and tucks it away for later. a diet high in low calorie foods like veggies means you can eat a lot for fewer calories, where someone socking away fast food and candy can easily excede 5000 calories in a day, and no one can use that much.

sugar
