What would happen if I was to take tablets on empty stomach?!


Question: I am about to start taking water retention tablets and it says to take two after meal... what harm would it do to take it on an empty stomach?

Diuretics are generally OK on an empty stomach, though it would have been helpful if you had put in the name of the specific drug you are taking. If there is a problem there will be a computer generated pharmacy label with specific instructions and warnings.

it could have an adverse reaction. if the medication advices to take on with meal or on empty stomach there is a specific reason so i would folow the directions of the label or what you can find on the tablets website.

You'll probably just spew them straight back up! If the directions tell you to take them after a meal - DO IT!! Even if you're only having toast or cereal etc, at least it's SOMETHING in your stomach!

They will make you sick or just burn a hole in your stomach
