Can you tone abs by simply walking/jogging?!


Question: I have a nice toned body everywhere else, but my abs are starting to need some help. I absolutely hate crunches. Can you tone/trim abs by walking or jogging, or is a gym necessary for the middle aged bulge?

try running ill tone a little. but you have to do some ab work! try belly dancing! or bicyles! its where you lay of the grounf put your hand behind head. bend one leg toawrd you and one leg stretched out. touch on elbow with oppisote leg. switch. repeatly do this about 2 sets of 25 reps 5 days a week. theyll get your upper,lower and sides of abs!

Yes..hold in your stomach muscles while you are walking. You can do this while sitting in the car as well or thru out your day. It doesn't take much at all to tone your abs.

It actually does take more than that to get toned abs. You need to get rid of the fat that lays on top of them (your belly) in order to see them. Walking and jogging will do that for you. Tightening your abs is good for toning, but you really need to be doing other ab work, such as the dreaded crunches, in order to get those nice abs. I suggest a workout dvd called The Abs Diet Workout. It has a lot of good ab exercises that aren't just crunches and sit-ups. Good luck!
