Will this diet work for me?!

Question: Im 21 years old and I am 5'9 210 lbs. I have a lot of muscle on me, but over the past 4 years I have put on 25 lbs. I was 183 lbs during my senior year. All the weight has went to my face, chest, sides, and stomach, and some everywhere else. I have a treadmill so im going to run one mile a day, maybe 2 if I feel good. Then do some jumproping, and situps, and pushups also. My diet.... well im going to drink nothing but water, eat 4 times a day that isnt going to be a whole lot, but will consist of grilled chicken, or a salad (no dressing, I hate it), or tuna, or fish. For the sides, ill have steamed carrots, or green beans, hominy, or peas. Im not going to stuff myself, nor am i going to starve myself. Some yogurt, or berries for dessert, if I even have it I may skip it. Dont give me your diet ideas, i just wanna know what you think of mine. I am going into this diet with my mind straight, and i WANT it bad. Its all about how bad you want things to earn them... and i want it bad

sounds good :) hope you get what you're after

Really good diet mate. Plenty of good stuff - and a heap of tasty stuff to keep you sticking to it. Just make sure you dont make yourself go hungry.

Your diet and exercise regimen are pretty good, but I see three deficiencies: (1) Mono-and-polyunsaturated fat, unless you eat a lot of fish, (2) Fiber, unless you eat a lot of beans, and (3) calcium, unless you eat a lot of yogurt. All of these nutrients aid in weight loss, and fiber and those heart-healthy fats are two of your best weapons for keeping your cholesterol levels where they need to be. Adding an apple every day will give you more fiber and extra vitamins. Adding nuts (any kind will do, but almonds are best) will give you more fiber and more of those heart-healthy fats. Adding one glass of skim milk every day will give you more calcium and more protein, which will also aid your weight loss efforts. Extra virgin olive oil is over 80% monounsaturated fat, so you might consider drizzling it over your salad with some Italian seasoning or pepper (or both).

Question for you: Do you intend to follow this diet for the rest of your life? Most people revert to the eating habits that made them overweight in the first place once they reach their goal. If you want to lose the weight and keep it off, you'll need to continue to eat healthy -- but you won't have to follow the strict diet you outlined. I strongly advise you to do some more research so you'll have a plan to keep the weight off once you reach your goal.
