Lay on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your hands NEXT TO YOUR EARS, not behind your head! KEEP YOUR FACE TO THE CEILING and s-l-o-w-l-y raise your shoulders up toward the ceiling and s-l-ow-l-y lower them down. They key is to not put your hands behind your head, and to keep your face to the ceiling (chin up, not against your chest - imagine you're holding a grapefruit under your chin.) Also, go slow - count to three on the way up, stay up for a count of 3, and count to 3 on the way down.

Good luck!

I just purchased the exercise ball, no neck or back pain, and I definitely feel the burn in my abs, i would absolutely recommend it.I paid roughly $10 at walmart. Hope this helps.

When you do crunches, put your hands behind your head. When you crunch up, you shouldn't be able to see your elbows in your peripheral vision. Be sure not to tuck your chin in when you crunch. Rather, try looking at the ceiling or imagining that you have a tennis ball sitting between your chin and neck. You should see results in a few weeks depending on how many you do. Good luck!

your stomach burning is not a bad thing, its a good thing, its supposed to burn if ur doing it the right way
u could do them many different ways
you can keep your shoulders on the ground, put ur arms behind ur head, and move ur head up and down
or you can put ur feet in the air and do the same thing
or put ur feet up against a wall and try to touch ur feet
or put ur feet flat on the ground, and touch ur forearms to your thighs.
all are fine
