Is skipping good exercise?? What does it do for you??!


Question: When you skip, you are repeatedly using the very large muscles in your legs, to bounce the whole weight of your body into the air.

This isn't difficult to do (these muscles are some of the biggest in your body), but keeping it up can be very demanding.

This increases an aspect of fitness called 'LME' (Local Muscular Endurance). This means the ability of a muscle to keep working, and you need a well organised system of fuel supply, waste removal, and oxygen availability to achieve it.

By skipping a lot, this 'stamina' will increase, in any of the muscles that you are using. that includes your arms, because these are working all the time to keep the rope turning. If you don't do a lot of skipping, the movement will make your arms and legs ache very quickly. the more you practice, the longer it will take for your arms and legs to start aching, and to get tired.

Because these leg muscles are large, the amount of blood that they need (to supply their oxygen demand) is massive. By making these muscles work continuously, you will make your blood circulation work harder.

That can be good for you in several ways, because it allows your heart to exercise, and it stimulates a lot of 'metabolic' processes (internal body chemistry).

It's roughly as good for your fitness as running, but skipping usually puts less impact pressure on your joints. That's because when you're running, you move further from the point where you leave the ground before making contact with it again.

I think it's brilliant. Good cardio work out. Not like child's skipping though, proper speed rope.

It's one of the best exercises you can do. Boxers skip to keep in shape.

yes it is good exersize. as you can see skipping frequently moves ur quadrasteps and thigh. this means you would loose alot of calories and gain health!

Excellent , when do you start? Begin Now for twice or three times daily. It's perfect. But if you have problem with your weight,
besure your knee is good and perfect. Ok.
