When someone notices your height and says "you're small/tall"?!

Question: what is your reaction?

Answers: what is your reaction?

I know exactly how you feel. I know I am short why do people constantly have to tell me. Sometimes I get upset especially if I have had a bad day but usually I just brush it off.

I'm proud!

who wants to know?

at least they notice

If they say I'm tall, I just ask how it feels to be short....

im ok with it

I love it, im 5'10". I also love when old ladies come up to me in grocery stores and ask me to get them things off top shelves, its cute lol

I know I'm short even when people tell me

i tell, them straight to his/her face...

I am your worst nightmare!!!!

People tell me that Im short. It makes me feel a bit self conscious at times.

I don't really mind, but I do get annoyed when people assume that I play basketball (I'm 6'4). I have the worst hand-eye co-ordination out of anyone I know. The chances of me 'shootin some hoops' are extremely slim lol.

I'm a six foot tall woman and am not petite by any means... i work at a tool store and sometimes, despite my long hair, i get called sir sometimes. I try to shrug it off.... most of the time it doesn't bother me that much, sometimes it just rubs me the wrong way. Little kids see me as some sort of giant which pleases me a lot... i enjoy dealing with kids. the rest of the time in public i don't really notice if people look at me... i've had some people ask how tall i am, but they are just curious and not trying to be rude so i don't mind a bit.

I would mostlikely turn and say something like....glad you noticed...been working on it alot lately thanks

when people say I'm tall...I just usually say " yeah, I know. ^_^ And you're short."

Look at their belly and say "hey, you're FAT", or look at their head and say "Hey, you're BALD!" Or look at their butt and say "Hey, you're FLAT" (this also applies to breasts). I she has large breasts you can say "How do you WALK with those things" (same thing if the guy has 'man-boobs').

Or look at them and say "I smell something. Did YOU fart or is that your perfume/cologne?"

Just look at them and say "Yes. Yes I am. So what?"

People can sure be stupidly rude or rudely stupid at times. Just zing one back at them and they'll probably leave you alone.

I'm 4'11 and 25, so for the last quarter century, I've been told how small I am, as if I've never made the observation on my own. Once, a smartass kid neighbor that I was passing said just that, "Your short" to which I replied, "yeah well, your ugly." Haha, the timing on that quip was enough to make up for all the short jokes I've ever heard.
At least I'm hot. =)

I simply ignore it. I think it's rude to comment on someones physical traits, even if it's said in a complimentary way. If it's a member of the opposite sex, then to me it's a very bad line, like " What's your sign?". And if it's a comment from a same sex person then it's just plain weird! Either way it's tacky so I act is if I didn't hear it and get out of there fast.

i say, "really? oh my god!"

i wouldn't think much about it and wouldn't have a reaction

I dance around like a duck.

This all depends on various factors. If you are a male or female? If you like to be seen as small or tall? If you feel you are too small, or too tall?. Most females like to be seen as tall, I am of average height for a female 5ft6', but when i wear heels, some men will call me tall.I take this is a compliment. So again it depends on yourself and your body image, and how you feel about your height, etc.Generally speaking, being either small or tall can be attractive, but not extremely small or tall.

Bite their shins!

Ok...and?

I categorize it along side all the other empty noise that I hear every day.. The washing machine, the t.v, my cell phone, conversations about weather, the neighbors arguing.. honestly if someone said anything like that to me, they'd probably have to shake me out of a day dream in order for me to even know they were talking.

im 5 feet talll and fifteen.
so when people tell me im short, not that im unaware of it, i usually just say "yep i noticed that" it really doesnt bother me too much. it gets annoying though.

My daughter is tall. She is sick and tired of people asking her if she plays basketball. When short people ask this, she will ask them if they play miniature golf.
