I want to find a simple, cheap, and effective diet plan?!

I was really hardcore with myself after my 2nd child to get rid of the weight. I was doing physical work and expected that would've done the trick, but the only place to eat while at work (8 hours or longer shifts) was the cafeteria. My suspicion was that the cafeteria food was too fatty.

Luckily, we had a salad bar in addition to the hot food... I made several changes to my diet and began doing Billy Blanks Tae Bo Bootcamp every other day and quickly lost all my pregnancy weight. People were complimenting me all the time on my figure, I was so proud!

Here's what I did.

1) Went vegetarian - No meat at all, not even chicken. Meat has alot of fat. Even if you don't want to go veggie permanently, its a good way to quickly get weight off. I maintain a weight 10 lbs. lighter when following a veggie diet, no matter what else I eat or what my physical activity is.

2) Skipped the fatty food at the cafeteria and just ate from the salad bar. I avoided the fatty foods at the salad bar as well (such as cheese and eggs). I also only used low-fat vinaigrette dressings.

3) No dessert. I didn't even add sugar to my coffee.

This is a pretty harsh diet, but its easy, cheap, and you'll quickly take off weight. Nothing cooked (cereal or fruit is OK for breakfast, salads or veggie sandwiches for lunch and dinner), no meat, and no sugary stuff.

If you do the Billy Blanks program, take it easy - its hard. Don't use the resistance bands until you can make it through the workout without them. Then add them to your program. Have a few tall glasses of water poured and ready to go when you start your workout. Also, it took me about 2 weeks to be able to get through the whole thing at first, and I stay relatively fit anyways.

If you can handle this for about a month, you'll be in dancer shape.

P.S. - After all that, I ended up getting pregnant again and haven't gotten around to getting rid of this weight yet... My friends suggested I not get that "hot" next time!

I would suggest you the following:
Start a diet - Winter diet is fine, but you can select another one you like
Exercise - it can be just walk (5 km per day at the beginning), run, dance, swim.
Change the diet after two weeks - start new one, continuing exercising. The secret is the body not to get used with the particular diet
Do not give up if you do not lose weight as fast as you want. The body needs time to react.

Cut out anything packaged or processed. Whole fruits, vegetables, wheat, and water will allow you to lose weight in a healthy manner.

I did LAWeightloss and their plan was to eat 3 starches, 3 vegetables, 3 fruits, 1 dairy and 2 1/2 proteins a day along with plenty of water. Make sure you eat all through out the day, never let yourself get hungry.

Example:
1 starch: 3 Low fat Ritz Crackers (Reduced Fat)
1 Protein: 1 can of tuna
1/2 Protein: 1 egg
1 Fruit: 8 Grapes
1 Vegetable: 7 Carrots
64 oz of Water

Use your judgement when choosing the various different foods since you don't have the packet. Good Luck!

Just consistently eat less food. Much less. Learn to feel hungry now and again. Forget the fads. Most weight-loss really is as simple as that. :o)

Join a local gym. Most will let you join monthly for roughly $25-30 a month. I'de suggest eating a healthy diet with lots of vegetables too. The key is keeping active. You can use this website to help monitor progress and keep track of calories. http://www.fitday.com its easy to use. Also I suggest eating less calories a day then you burn off. Keep motivated by doing a lot of different exercises. You can lose that much weight in that short of a time, but it takes hardwork, not a lot of money.
