Help me, i'm 16, question...?!

Question: i am not fat, but i'm not that thin either. all my fat is in my stomach and little in the butt. i have no fat in the arms, or legs. i eat well, i just started weight watchers on wednesday. i only want to lose like 15-20 pounds, but in a safe, and healthy way. i have a goal and its to be thin by april 1st. is this a do-able goal? i need some expert advice on what i need to do specifically either it be diet wise or exercise. i'm a student, very busy, exercising is hard to fit in my schedule. i just want to have that beach body that i had 4 years ago. ::sigh::

Weight Watchers is excellent! I lost 40 lbs several yrs ago, and have kept it off.

Walk! just a short walk is so good for you. Do what you can, and don't obsess. Keep in mind that everyone loses weight at different speeds, so if you're a slow loser (I am), don't get discouraged. Also, occasionally you'll gain and not lose on certain weeks; that's normal. It's the overall trend that matters.

Speed-walk 1/2 hr. each day.

If you excersize a LOT everyday, yes you may loose that 15 pounds by april.

well according to my calculations it is do able if you lose at least 4-5 pounds every 2 weeks.

well get advice from computer

Just eating well won't get you to your goal. Try excersing 15 -20 minutes a day. Try walking outside when the weather is nice or the mall when the weather is crappy. Good luck!!!

Do not let stress take over your life on this. Focus on your whole self and take it slow. Be confident, you'll be fine.

This is a pretty neat site that you can use: Training diary.

It uses your stats to create an exercise and even a meal plan with recipes. It can keep you on a healthy track.

get those step up machines they dont do harm you can buy it in argos and the machine will get rid of ur fat in lyk 3 months and u will lose fat especially the abs bit meaning the stomack ur hips and ur butt.

You need to work really hard. Do weights and plenty of cardio (atleast 1/2 hour each day)

Good Luck!

do all kinds of exercises when ur out side. like when u get out crouch by a tree w/ ur back against it. for like 15 minutes rezt for 10 minutes then do it agian and so on.

You should like the way you look but if you want to keep the but you should try doing 45 situps a day and that will help but if you want to lose both you sholud see if weight watchers is working

Well exercising is good for you. Walking and sit-ups. Also watch what you eat, like you said eat healthy but watch the fat intakes on the foods.. They also make products that tightens up the flab of skin on tummy and buttocks. If you need more information on that, please contact me.

It depends how much you weigh. losing 15-20 pounds might take longer if your already fairly thin. Plus 75% or woman who are at a normal weight think that they are overweight when they actually arent. You say you want the body you had four years ago which means when you were 12. That's probably when you just started puberty or maybe even before. It's natural for girls to feel fat after they've gotten curves.

Check Out This Blog it has excellent Tips. WW is great my boss lost 40lbs in four months and she worked out and had a strict diet which she followed...

try yoga, either take a class or get a video, it helps lose weight and tone muscles, that's what i do. If you keep up with it then you'll lose the weight and keep it off. i do it for 20 minutes everyday, but you can make it as long or short as you want ^_^

I took honors weight training and dieting as a course this year and i learned that losing weight does take time.....like weight watchers: set smaller goals like "X" amount of pounds by march and a two month status like that, also, start running on the treadmills at home or after school or whatever: running is the most efficient way to lose weight. start with 2 miles every other day then 3 then 2 every day, then 3...........also take breaks inbetween. tough workouts.

Well .. if you work really hard and excercies and eat right, it can be possible to acheive

keep in mind that probably most of your "fat" is most likely still baby fat. most women dont loose that until they're like 20. but by taking all the rite paths u should be fine. eat healthy and exercise at least 4 times a week for 20 min... u'll be amazed how good u'll feel after awhile.

You could try avoiding flour, because flour contains gluten which can be mucus forming and is simply not that good for us. (it's not in all four, I don't think it's in rice flour, but look into it). A lot of people actually have allergies to it so it's something to think about. I bet that if you just avoided it for about 2 weeks and kept active you would notice a difference.

yes that goal is do-able, but it is important that you find time to excersize atleast 3-5 times a week, and stay away from red meant, and go easy on the junk foods. you shouls either eat only 3 normal sized meals a day, or 6 very small ones, and never skip breakfast, because thats when ur matabulism works the hardest. but to loose the fat, you need to run, swim, or other cardio vascular activites, and if you want to gain muscle and get abs, you need to do sit ups for upper abs, lift your legs off the ground about 40 6in. to get ur lower abs, and side twists for obliques. any more help, jus email me Jasonmr14@yahoo.com

OK, i understand where the schedule may be tight, especially to fit in a workout, but where there is a will there is a way!! Did you know that even with a healthy diet, there must be even the simplest form of exercise due to calories. Well i learned that from my own study as combat field medic specialist and hospital technician for the navy and marine corps, that weight is a considerable problem within the service even with a limited workout schedule.... Here is what you can start to try and do not give up because within a couple weeks you will notice an improvement.... you need to wear tight fitting clothes and tape a trash bag around your waste and butt when you lightly jog also start by doing as many sit ups as you can and every day add2-3 to your maximum not only will you get some slick stomach lines but you will also train your body on that one specific region and it will work its self and trim the fat, and a key to all diets available is drinking more water then anything else because the body needs it to speed up your metablolism and even better help do its unstoppable tasks.... your goal is possible if you put your mind to it! Never give up and never surrender!!! and good luck!

you're taking a good route with weight watchers. they promote more of a lifestyle change than a diet. you should lose an average of 2 pounds a week so your goal is definitely doable. try to work out at least half an hour a day 4 or 5 days a week mixing cardio and weights to tone as you lose. GOOD LUCK!!

aw i noe how u feel..i use to be fat all the way up until i was 16 den i started to loose...ima be honest the only thing that help me loose weight was sex..but den i started to eat nuttin but fruit vegetables water no soda juice or nutthin...i ate crackers and salad and lost 22 pounds in 3 weeks..it was good but den sometimes i get realli hungry and decide to eat junk den i started to gain again...so then i started to eat nothin but crackers fruit and salads..i lost 10 pounds..it felt so good...but u know stress puts weight on you too...so be careful with that and if u have a boyfriend dont get stressed out...just go out with friends and while your out be careful about what you eat...dont let your friends tell you your not fat..their most likely jealous..its really not bad to be over weight but only alittle.

remember just be persistant and determined.

I'm sure you're busy but you can jog 15 minutes a day (since you probably get up early for school it may be best for you to do it in the afternoon when you get home from school). You can take an mp3 player along and listen to music while you jog (15 minutes is equal to five songs that are 3 minutes each). If you do not break a sweat while you're running then you should run 10 more minutes or run a bit harder. And after your run you can do 50 crunches. And if this is not challenging or you feel as if you are progressing you can bump it up to 20 minutes jogging and 75 crunches a day; 25 minute jog and 100 crunches etc...

Make sure you have enough proteins (peanut butter, nuts, beans, fish, chicken). As far as eating goes just eat fewer red meats, carbs are essential for your body to have energy but you may cut back on them and eat you favorite fruits and vegetables. It is also good to just drink water instead of juice sometimes and maybe a glass of milk in the mornings.
You must first remember that four years ago you were 12...and at that age (right before you hit puberty, or just beginning puberty) your body may have still had some childhood characterisitics (kids can easily be thin because most of the time they are very active). But know you are growing and maturing and your body is too.
