Is it good to burn more calories than you eat?!


Question: Today I counted calories, just to see how many I eat a day. By the end of the day, I had eaten 448 calories. I know it is not a lot, but most of the time, I go all day without eating, so I am pretty proud of myself.

I stop eating everyday at 9:00 P.M. Today I went to my dance practice, which was at 9:30 P.M., and lasted 2 hours. By the time I was done with that class, I had burned 567 calories. Is that good?

Is it healthy to burn more calories than you eat? I do a lot of walking, running and climbing stairs, so I am sure I burned more calories. This is my first time ever trying to lose weight, so I am not really too familiar with things. But I am going to consult a nutritionist in 2 weeks.

Its good that you are trying to lose weight. And I think consulting a nutritionist is a good move too. I am not sure what kind of healthy food are you consuming but do remember that we all need a well-balanced diet and should not really deprived our body of food.

Burning more calories than you eat is definitely the key to lose weight. Just remember that you must enjoy the food you are now eating, enjoying the exercises you are now doing or else, the moment you lose the motivation to lose weight, you will eat double the intake of unhealthy food as well as get lazier as well. So always remember to keep balancing your interest and being active.

Personally, I prefer running on a treadmill as proving to be more a success in losing belly fat quicker. But it will be best to jog in a park without a treadmill as the friction, intensity is higher and less assistance is given to you. The effects are much better.

Yes but it also depends on your intake of food and whether you are eating the right foods to keep healthy......Eat heaps of fresh fruit/vegies you can't go wrong there........keep burning them calories girl!

Calorie counting is a great way to lose weight. You lose weight when you burn more calories than you eat. To lose 0.5kg a week you need to burn around 500calories a day more than you eat. A good website that deals with all those sorts of things is http://www.alfitness.com.au

So-called "detox diets" are b******t. You are on exactly the right track to lose weight.
