i wouldnt try to gain weight puropsely becuasse once you start you might never be able to stop

Try incorporating some more protein & healthy fats into your diet (e.g. nuts, olive oil, etc) and weight training to build some muscle.

You want to gain healthy weight, so I would suggest working out with weights and eating more protien. You can buy some Whey Protien at your local grocery store and its fairly cheap.
