How much water weight can a person lose?!

Question: I just started a diet on Monday. I was 192 lbs. I am 4'10'' and I'm 24 years old...female. I've only been eating about 1000 cal. diet and exercising about 1/2 hr. cardio, and weight training. I have been drinking a lot of water, black coffee, and green tea...no sodas.

This morning I weighed 185.2. How much of that is water weight?

The human body can hold anywhere between 1 and 12lbs of water weight at any time. You have to figure 95% of your loss is water weight but thats a good thing, you feel lighter and better and it will keep you going. Some people also tend to bloat up also, I hold water big time its just the way im built.

Keep up the good work!

The first 10-20 pounds is water weight! Then the "hard part" starts!

About 5 to 8 lbs of water wieght. If you cut out the coffe you will see better results aswell. The caffiene helps to hold water. 1000 cal seems a bit low so i would start to take a multivitamin, but sounds great and congrats on the new wieghtloss, I hope you keep it up, and good luck!

get a scale that tell you how much weight is fat, muscle, and water.

How are responders suppose to know this answer if every body is different. Secondly, you need to add about 200 calories to your diet... you are undereating.
