find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
use fitday.com for tracking your intake

Cut everything you eat in half. You don't necessarily have to drastically change what you eat, just the amount. Instead of two rolls at dinner, have one. You may be hungry at first but your stomach will shrink quickly and you will get used to eating less. Don't eat after 7 p.m. because at night, your metabolism goes way down and all that food is stored as fat instead of burned off during the day's activities. Drink lots of water and stop drinking cokes! If you have to have a coke, drink diet. Load up on the fruits, veggies, and whole grains. Stay away from sugar-free foods, as those are loaded with sugar alcohols and are meant for diabetics, not dieters. You MUST exercise! You might want to go to a place called Curves. It's an exercise place just for women that is 30 minutes, minimum of 3x a week. I worked there and worked out there while I was losing weight and loved it. If you can't do that, do a minimum of 30 mins exercise at least 3x a week, preferably around 5. If you need help, buy a video like Tae-Bo with Billy Banks. This sounds like a lot but when it becomes a lifestyle it gets to be really easy!
Good luck!

thats unreasonable and INCREDIBLY UNHEALTHY

you actually can GAIN weight by making such a drastic increase in food (the body thinks its starving ad stores everything)

just cut back on excess foods (like sweets) and exercise. the weight comes off little by little, but its a more permanent change.

CARDIO and eat healthy and in proportion

Ok. Diet Diet!!

You need to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Eat some protein with each meal! Cut out all refined sugar!!! Then exercise regularly 4-5 days a week. Do both cardio and lifting. But on days that you do both. Do lifting before your cardio and you will maximize your fat burn.

So Example :

Monday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Tuesday - 1 hour lifting
Wednesday - Rest
Thrusday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Friday - 1 hour lifting
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio

It is dangerous to lose more then 2 pounds per week. So the most you should expect to lose in 15 weeks is 30 pounds. Any more then that, you risk permanent health issues. And putting your body into starvation mode like that can actually slow your metabolism and make losing weight impossible. Not to mention that your body will think it is starving so when you do start to eat normally again, you body will think it should pack on fat storage in case you start to starve again.

Good luck.

When I got pregnant with my son, I weighed 113 pounds. When I delivered my son, I weighed 210 pounds! When he turned a year old, I was still at 185 pounds! If you have a blender, buy some of your favorite ice cream and get a jar of 'malt' mix in the Nes Quick aisle of the grocery. I made and drank a large malt every day for 10 weeks and lost over 40 pounds and ENJOYED it! The malt swells your stomach so you have that full feeling for the most part of the day and I ate a reasonable dinner each night. The ice cream was my favorite flavor, banana, and with the malt, I was getting the vitamins and calcium I needed. Shortly after those 10 weeks I was at 121 pounds as I am today at age 55 and my son is 28. This worked great for me, I hope it helps and remember, believe in yourself!
