Do you lose weight by cutting calories or cutting carbs?!

Question: Calories...although you should watch how many calories you're consuming in carbs. Make sure you eat a well-balanced diet of about 1200 calories a day...and make sure you include carbs as part of those 1200 calories.
Eat complex carbs that are found in whole grains such as oatmeal, barley, brown rice, bulgur, etc. A potato is fine..even better for you if you leave the skin on. Choose mutli-grain or whole wheat pasta over white.
Fruit is a carb, and always good for you, especially apples, berries, oranges, and nectarines. Remember a serving size of a banana is actually half a banana.

Cutting Calories!

You lose more weight faster by exercising.

Cutting calories. Cutting carbs works for the short term, but when you re-intorduce carbs back into your diet your at risk to gain all of your weight back!

Moderation is key :)
Good luck

CALORIES

Cutting carbs just makes you lose water weight the first couple weeks.

Cutting calories is the answer.

Losing pure weight is a matter of mathematics and calories. You take in less calories (which carbs tend to be very high in), you don't hold as many calories.
Though, losing weight is always a bad way of looking at it since -most- of your weight is important (water, muscle, bones). If you gain muscle and lose fat you can even gain weight.
Exercise and eating well is always the best way to go about looking and feeling better.

well cutting carbs means your body relies on your body fat for energy which in turn helps you to lose weight. Cutting calories is the same thing because if you cut your carbs but load up on other stuff then you sort of cancel the effects of cutting carbs.
so to lose weight cut the calories which come from carbs.

Cutting calories and exercising is the only true way to loose weight. Cutting down on your carb serving will reduce overall calories and most people eat too many carbs. Add more veggies & fruit and make your carbs healthy brown ones.
