How long should i do cardio and how long will it take?!


Question: I have been doing cardio with a jumprope 5 days a week maybe 6 now for 30 minutes a day. I want to burn fat on my stomach does cardio really do this? And does cardio stops muscle growth for a short while? Why is it that it takes upto 20 minutes of cardio to start to burn fat? I also do 100 crunches and a little more somewhat... But i have a bad diet idk how much calories i consume each day. I am 13 so how much calories should i consume each day 130 pounds? My goal is to have a 6-pack or just abs that look good but they are visible also how much water should i drink each day??? Thxs =] its long but thxs =] for ur time and thxs for the help

in personal fitness, they say 20 minutes a day, every day. also you need 20 minutes of sunlight to produce vitamin D, so id suggest going for a run or bike ride or something outside for 20 minutes. 2000 calories is a typical diet, but if you just eat healthy things i couldnt worry too much about the calories, dont eat greasy fatty foods and you should be fine. ive never heard of cardio stopping muscle growth, and if youre looking to gain muscle only in your stomach than only do crunches every other day. muscle grows by damaging them during excercise and then they get built bigger and stronger as to prevent it next time, so the parts you excercise need a days rest to repair. and 6 glasses of water, i believe 8 ounces each, is recomended.

You should do at least 45 min. or 1 hr. Six times a week.

you should do it 1 hour a day for 3-4 days a week

CARDIO IS CRAP.

Weight training is the way to go.
