How much weight do....?!

Question: you have to lose before you notice a difference in the mirror? I have been dieting for roughly 3 weeks and lost 7 lbs but can't tell at all.....when will I start seeing a difference?

If you try to loose weight by dieting alone you might reduce your muscle mass and add fat. That is probably why you don't see a difference having lost 7lbs. You need to increase your muscle mass by including some weight/resistance training, because muscle mass will burn more calories, even when you're not working out, and make you look leaner. Just be sure to work out with lighter weights and higher repetitions instead of higher weights with fewer repetitions (which would cause you to bulk up more).
When you first incorporate weight training you might notice that you're gaining weight, that is because muscle mass is heavier than fat, but you should be able to tell a difference in how your clothes fit (loose), because you should be losing fat at the same time you're gaining muscle mass.

You see a difference when you are satisfied. IMO. Heeee x)

I think it depends on the weight you are at now. If you are more than 10 lbs overweight it may take another 5/10 lbs before you notice a difference. Most likely you will FEEL a difference first. Your pants will feel a little looser etc. Give it time, soon you will notice it in your face and if you start doing training with weights you will appear to be shrinking in no time. People think muscle makes you bulk up but it's not true. As long as you are not lifting more than you should muscle will make you smaller. good luck!

You've lost 7 pounds, and lost some fat and perhaps muscle from dieting. You need to incoorperate some cardio or weight training exercises. Once you tone up a bit, you'll likely see the change you're trying to achieve.
And you don't need to go crazy with the exercises. Perhaps a walk or jog. Some ab exercises. I tell you what, I did Palates a couple times and that is honestly a great exercise routine. It was tougher than my own regimen.

If u reduce ur weight through dieting, u r in for bigger trouble.. I tried it for 4 months and I was fully satisfied with myself and my body toned and I was remarkably in good shape.. What happened then. Calcium level in my body fell and my 4 teeth cracked.. My doctor advised me never to do such a foolish thing again. and same advise I'm giving u. Take a balanced diet and do more exercises and to be fit do yoga.
