Looking for some good diets !?!


Question: I am pretty young and I don't eat any meat except seafood. And I really need to go on a diet because if I gain much more weight then I will be suffering from childhood obesity. I need help.... someone help

Don't go on some bizzare diet promiseing you'll lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks. IT DOESN'T WORK. I'm 15, and tried doing this.. and hurt myself really bad.
Just have common sense.
No white flour, sugar, starch.
As in no white bread, candy, ice cream, pastries, cakes.. you know..

Eat green veggies.. like brocolli, asparagus
Eat lean protiens.. lean chicken.. low fat lunch meat.. low fat cheese
Eat fruits high in fiber such as apples and pairs
Good fats such as nuts.. (almonds..walnuts) and olive oil and conola oil.. peanut oil.
Drink a lot of water.
Don't eat in front of the TV.. don't watch TV if possible. If you eat a lot in front of the TV your brain signals to eat since that's where you usually eat all the time. Find something better to do such as playing video games (I have a Wii)
Stay away from the kitchen. Don't go in there when your bored.
Excercise! 30 minutes daily.. Go out for a walk or something. Do something you will enjoy. Go take your dog out with your parents or a friend.. Join a sport!
If your young, good for you for decideing to help yourself now.Better early than late.. =)

Diets are a quick fix to failure. You need a lifestyle change. Be more active, eat lowfat protein to keep hunger away, and seperate your plate at each meal. 1/4 protein. 1/4 starch, and 1/2 vegetable. And no...potato is not a vegetable. *lol*

And don't deprive yourself either. Eat the things you love, just eat less of it.

It is good that you do not eat meat but do eat fish it will be easy for you then the most.

You must understand the weight mechanism, to keep healthy weight or loose some weight.
