For one thing, that sounds almost borderline anorexic. Fourty pounds since August. Congratulations! One piece of advice: Do not go on the scale every day. Go on once a week or so. The smallest changes can make your weight go up and down by a couple pounds, and you don't want to get too encouraged or discouraged. Feeling guilty after you eat is a large part of eating disorders. That is one reason a bulimic will throw up after a binge (besides the obvious fear of weight gain, or it could have been intenional...). I have the same problem. I get very cranky and sad after I eat anything, even just an apple or a chip. I've actually gotten to the point where it freaks me out to drink Diet Coke (even though it has no calories, it supposedly retains fat or something...) But... please don't concentrate so hard on how you look. Just eat well. If you feel guilty, talk to a friend or try to ignore the feeling. Just stop eating once you stop feeling hungry. Another hint I would give you is to give yourself permission to eat before you eat it. Tell yourself, "You are allowed to eat this. You will NOT feel guilty." Most of the time, this will work for me, but not every time. Just talk yourself into it. (I happen to be very good at manipulating my own mind...Tricking it into things...). So...I really do hope you feel better. Once again, great job on losing fourty pounds. I'd check your BMI and your BMR. Every time you lose weight on the scale, re-check your BMI. You'll start to feel better. Once you learn that you can eat and still lose weight, this feeling could go away. Good luck! Be careful that this doesn't turn into an obsession, okay? Don't be like me and complain to your best friend every time you take a bite. Her constant reassurance does make me feel better, but I don't believe her and I feel bad for wasting so much of her time. Again, congrats and good luck.

You are probably too concerned on the way your body looks!
