How Do I lose weight FAST!?!

Question: Ok heres the deal. I need to lose weight FAST! The only problem lies in the fact that I can't really excersize, I had a hip surgery a few years ago and I can walk...but only for about 30-45 minutes at a time. It's hard for me to dance or do cardio. I've tried but I always end up falling or hurting myself. I can curb my bad eating, but will that give me results in a hurry? PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU! I NEED HELP!

It's hard for me to dance or do cardio. I've tried but I always end up falling or hurting myself. I can curb my bad eating, but will that give me results in a hurry? PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU! I NEED HELP!

1.Set goals. You'll be better able to make a realistic weight loss plan if you know how much weight you want to lose.

2.Identify your weaknesses. Are you a bread fiend? Do you have dessert after every meal and every snack? Is McDonald's your second home? Find the weakness and throttle it. It does not own you, you are stronger and cooler than to allow some silly little craving to knock you off your path.

3.Throw away anything you know is tempting. Those cinnamon buns with 500 calories each? Gone. The ramen noodles in your cabinet? Gone. The problem is that this is not always feasible. Often times we are not the only ones in our homes and therefore the call of the food must be withstood. In this case, out of sight truly is out of mind. Put unhealthy, unfilling foods in a drawer or in a cabinet that you rarely use. Put them all together to make a particularly unappetizing sight. Don't place them all in a decorative basket out on the counter. Place them in a drawer. A drawer heaping with pastries rarely looks like anything but a drawer of fat.

4.Eat less, but eat more often. If possible, eat 4-5 meals a day. This helps your metabolism and blood sugar to stay level as well. This does require a change in your schedule. Eat less within 6 hours of your bed time. You're less likely to burn the calories closer to your bed time. It's fine to eat a large breakfast and lunch because your body will be working on burning those calories for the whole day. Large dinners are likely to go unburned and converted into fat.

5.Do not skip breakfast. If you don't have time to prepare breakfast, buy healthy breakfast bars or those smoothies on the go. It is important to eat breakfast to jump start your metabolism and give you energy for the day. Otherwise you will probably end up falling back on unhealthy foods during the day. Yogurt is also known to boost your metabolism.

6.Eat healthy snacks when you feel hungry between meal times. Healthy snacks would be things high in fiber, fruits and vegetables. Avoid high sugar and high calorie snacks. This will help you get nutrients as well as help lower your appetite so you won't overeat during meals.

7.Increase your fiber intake. Fiber acts as negative calories. It's also filling and healthy for your digestive system. Make it a part of every meal.

8.Eat slowly and chew more. Take time to enjoy your meals. This will help you to finish at the same time as others, and you'll not be tempted by a second helping. Also, chewing more will ensure you get the most out of all the food and it will be digested faster. The more you chew, the more your appetite will be satiated.

9.Drink more water every day. Stay hydrated. While you don't need 8 cups of water a day to stay hydrated, it'll make sure you're hydrated as well as cut down on your hunger levels and force you to get a little bit more exercise (trips to the sink, water cooler, water fountain, and bathroom). If you're a heavy soda drinker, permit yourself to only one diet soda per day, maximum. Just one extra soda each day can add 15 pounds. Recently, fizzy drinks, even diet ones, have been said to slow down metabolism.

10.Increase physical activity. There are two ways to reduce net caloric intake: 1) reduce the number of calories in your diet and 2) Increase the number of calories that you burn in your daily activities. Both approaches are usually necessary and healthful and both are effective in losing weight. You can pick and choose which exercise you want to do, depending on your fitness level and drive. For example: walking, jogging, using the stair stepper, using cross training machines, swimming, tennis, and basketball. Weight training (and resistance training) can help reshape your body. The more muscle you have the higher your metabolism will be.

11.Find active friends. Find people that will drag you out to do more active things. It doesn't have to be much, but any exercise even walking around the mall is better than none.

12.Don't get discouraged. After one or two weeks of initial weight loss, it is quite common for your metabolism to slow down as it adjusts to the new calorie count. Stay on course and you'll see results. In some cases, the scale will tell you your weight is barely changing, but you may be gaining muscle weight while losing fat weight. Also make sure to weigh yourself first thing in the morning to try to avoid the fluctuations in weight due to water.

13.Take all advice with a grain of salt. Everyone is going to have some tidbit of information for you. What worked for them might not work for you. Take it all in stride and work with what is getting results for you. Trying to do everything everyone says will only cause overload.

14.Eat more protein. If you choose to go this route, do not cut out all carbs. If you do so, as soon as you start eating carbs again you will regain your weight back. Instead of eating stand alone pasta, throw some meatballs or chicken in. Eat some beans, they are high in protein and very healthy for you. Increase the ammount of protein, but not by too much. The more protein you take in, the more water you should drink as well.

15.Eat less calories. The average woman should eat around 2,000 calories a day and the average male 2,500. There's many ways to reduce the calories you intake. Try not to eat frozen dinners, pizza, or from fast food joints. There's also certain drinks, such as Green Tea that are calorie reducers. Lettuce is another calorie reducer, but be careful because dressing tends to have the calories. Low fat/light vinnegette, balsomic vineger, red wine and vineger are pretty healthy dressings, but do not load it on

no

In humans, approximately half of stored creatine originates from food (mainly from fresh meat and fish). Since vegetables do not contain creatine, vegetarians clearly show lower levels of muscle creatine which, upon creatine supplementation, rise to a level higher than in meat-eaters

eat 5-6 small meals(breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner) a day but in small portions. control what you eat. and walk about 15 minutes a day and u'll see results.

start doing yoga it helps
stop eating fast food.
start wearing fit clothes.

don't eat anything until u feel very hungry..
u will defiantly loose weight

Diet pills. I know alot of bad things are said about them, but in reality you just gotta becareful in deciding which ones you are going to take and making sure they are prescribed by your doctor.
I take Phentermine, and the first week I lost 12 pounds, without exercising, I just ate less since the pills decreased my appetite.
Good luck hun!

Fast? Never gonna happen. In 1/2 hour you can walk a mile. Once you get in the habit, you will be able to walk longer, and then you may be able to do some cardio. It takes a proper diet, and execise to lose weight, and KEEP it off

I had great and fast results from the South Beach Diet (10 lbs. the first 2 weeks, then 30 lbs after 3 months). And since in phase 2 and 3 you add good carbs, it is healthy if you make the right choices. I didn't exercise either.
It also concerns me that you had surgery a few years ago and you still are not well. You need to also go back to your doctor!

Please read Dr Joel Fuhrman's book "EAT TO LIVE" It is a very safe way to change your eating habits. It is educational and it works.

What ever is driving this urgent need should be reconsidered. Losing weight fast is dangerous. There truly is nothing in this world worth sacraficing your health.

try the "Haleluja Diet" its biblical based and celebs all over hollywood are doing it and loosing tones of weight fast. Check it out

there's an old saying, "You can't lose weight by TALKING about it; you have to keep your mouth SHUT!" IT'S TRUE!!

eat only meats and veggies for about a week . eliminate the carbs from your diet you will lose wieght fast. this is not healthy for the long term . but the weight will come off.

work out more and maybe u should be involved with more activitys like sports and eat better foods like apples oranges and try not to eat to many things that have high sodium or calories and if u take my advice u with find a significent change and i am a doctor so i know best

i wish i could give you an answer on this, but losing weight fast results in only losing water weight, which comes back on its own anyway. any 'fast' weight loss 'cure' is extremely unhealthy, and because it is fast, it normally means that its only temporary. just eat by the food pyramid, but cut your calorie intake, (not drastically) and you should see results in two weeks. you can also do floor excercises like flexibility training as well as ab and arm training. since there is no such thing as spot weight loss, this will help your entire body.

good luck! and be healthy about it! :)

Drink water .... 8 -8oz glasses a day for 7 days will usually drop about 10lbs(if your not a regular water drinker). But once you stop or slow down, you'll gain it back.

Count your calories plan and simple. If you really want to lose weight fast I would recommend eating 1000 or less calories a day. This is what I did for prom, its not healthy and its not long term weight loss but it does work. You will lose weight very fast with out working out. Just count every calorie you eat and set a limit that you can not exceed. Their are plenty of websites such as calorie king that show you the amount of calories in just about every food.

Eat 3 meals a day, protein first and salad or veg. Wait 5 hours between each meal and drink 2 litres of water a day! Worked for me!!! Good luck:)

Jenny Craig and 30 minutes of Bicrum yoga 3x a week, and 30 mins of stationary biking 3x a week. Stay under 1500 calories per day, and you will lose.

The only way to safely lose weight is to stop eating junk, eat lots of fruits, veggies, and lean meats, drink lots of water, and exercise. Even walking is fine, as long as you're moving, you're burning calories.

To help curb your bad eating, whenever you feel hungry, drink a big glass of water or milk, then wait 10 minutes and decide how hungry you really are. Keep junk food out of the house so that when you're hungry, your only option is to eat something healthy.

Talk to your doctor about how much weight is safe for you to lose. It is normally only healthy to lose a couple of pounds a week at most.

Pills, fasting, 'eat only cabbage' type diets don't work. They can make you really sick, and can actually make you gain more weight.

Good luck!

I was chubby, and i started eating things without too much fat. Like i would start to forse myself to eat salad and stuff. Once you are able to work out, then swimming is the quickest and easiest way to lose weight! In one night (one hour i swam) and really pushed myself, and i grabbed my tummy afterwards, and the fat was very close to gone! Eat healthy in the mean time, and once you can work out, go swimming. Once you start working out, your body will want to eat healthy. Its weird but true! Swimming is the best sport to work out all of your mussles and body parts fast! Good Luck and I really hope that you feel better and recover soon! God bless you. I will keep you in my prayers! Bye

Nope, no excersize, no dramatic decrease unless you starve yourself and get yourself in a depressive stage so you can do so, not healthy though. Eating less will help a little, but without the calorie burn that the excesize provides is almost impossible to do it. I am talking about 3-5 pounds per month with a strict diet, but need medical or professional supervision.

If you need to lose weight in that big of a hurry. The person you are trying to impress is not worth your company. They should love you or like you for who you are. Be yourself and stop worrying about what others are going to think. I bet they would just love the person you are instead of the wanna be ...Hang in their sweetheart, The right person will come along and you will look back and say what the heck was I thinking.......Now there are a lot of exercises that I do that are not difficult to do and still lose weight. But if your going to do it , do it for you and no one else.

I don't think you can get results fast it does take a matter of time, best thing to do is give up pop and drink lots and lots of water and buy healthier food the first day or two you may gain 1 pound but that's because your retaining water. And if you can only walk for 30-45 minutes then walk for 30-45 minutes. You should eat about 4-5 meals a day every few hours but not a whole meal just a snack to trick your body and making it think your eating a lot but your really not.

P.S sorry if it doesn't really help

It depends on how fast you need to lose the weight. It isn't healthy to lose more than 2 pounds per week.

To really lose weight you have to combine healthy eating habits with exercise, and even then you might not see extremely fast results.

Get a book that lists foods level of calories, carbohydrates, and protein, make a list of the lowest in calories and carbohydrates, try to design your meals around those foods. Can you swim? If you can, swim, swim, swim! Go to your local public library or book store and get a book on fasting, read it and understand it before trying it.
Do what exercises you can, even if it's sitting down and doing upper body exercises, use light weights. Good Luck.

Water flushes the system water water water.
- no soda - no juice they have too much sugar. DO NOT drink coffee with sugar either. People would be amazed at how much sugar we DRINK. Walk as much as you can as often as you can - twice a day for 30 minutes if possible.
Walk before you eat anything - you will burn more calories.
And if it doesn't GROW that way - don't put it in your mouth - example - anything that says cheese - NO BREAD PASTA, RICE, POTATO, ICE CREAM. NO fried foods - chips - or anything else processed!
You want veggies - fruits - eggs (no butter) use olive oil -
water and chicken ONLY grilled not sauteed not fried Grilled. Try lemon pepper chix it's great. NO SALT either. Use pepper as a spice and honey as your sugar. DO this -It will work - I lost 20 pounds for spring break - I'm doing it again now for my 20 year reunion!! Cuz I like ice cream!

PS Alot of people mistake hunger for thirst - drink something before you put food in your mouth - it may stop your hunger. Then move on to good food the next time you get the grumbles.

you can't lose it just from night to day... it takes time...maybe not so long...

but "exercice" and don't avoid eating what you have to daily, try just cutting out candies or any fast food or greasy food and don't eat between meals..cos' that won't help to lose weight..

if you stick to a nutritional plan for the week and do that everyday, and stick to it,

don't mix all the schedules like.. if you go to bed one day at 10pm and wake up at 10am, you'll sleep 10hours maybe that's too much, but what's important is to keep it that way the days that follow and always the same time for meals.

try to eat a main dish + a piece of fruit + drink water (at least a bottle a day or a bottle & 1/2) ..>> this at every meal..

For breaks , just take a glass of white milk and a french toast or whatever and that'll do it..

don't forget to exercice.. not like a whole program, but if you walk or jog a lil' everyday it'll be enough.

Maybe not in a hurry but it won't take as long as you think it would to loose some weight;) good luck

want to lose weight fast ... eat less fat foods and drink more fresh juices.do heavy workouts... i think that the below website will help you to find the right solution.
