I do a jog/ run up the stairs and get tired very quickly...?!

Question: After only two minutes my legs hurt. I haven't been very active since I stopped having to go to gym in school in the middle of ninth grade (I am now in 11th). What should I do to get more active and energized and stronger? I must really be in bad shape.

Forget the dude for the first answer. Just start doing a little excersising every day like a little half mile jog then start increasing it. I take walks everyday so i don't really get tired fast.

lose weight

Just keep active. You'll find that running and jogging and all that will be less tiring.

Go back to the gym........

I've been there. I took long, fast walks every day, and I worked up to jogs, then runs, then sprints. That really helps. Just go at your own pace, but push yourself.

do it all the time, there's probably a temperature change going on as well, the air gets harder to breathe the higher you go. just keep moving

run
jumprope

that's all i can say.

keep going to the gym.
good luck
=]]

try jogging outside on the streets instead for a while..and slowly introduce your body to the stairs

Try walking some everyday also. You'll be suprised at the results.

i can do it till 50 and thats it

keep at it...trust me when I say that you will get better at it every time and your stamina will sky rocket fast. I was the same way. Good for you for doing it. its hard I know.

Have you been tested for AIDS or gonorrhea?

just keep running and pushing yourself you will get better

u need to go to a podiartrist

continue your workout

drink milk and just try to do a workout everyday

Hi ,

Just take it easy and build it again gradually

just keep on running them stairs!

Stay active do lots of sports and start to bulid stamina, like short sprints then a walk then a short sprint (repeat about 10 times) that should help you not get tired sooo soon!!!
If you need anymore answers im here,
Good Luck Always

start out slow then you can build up to a faster pace. maybe your just pushing too hard.

It's just that you fitness level is down . . . the more you exercise the more your fitness level will increase . . . so don't worry about it . . . just get a little active and enjoy it :D

SiSi

i dont know if u smoke or not...but when i used to smoke and once i stopped that helped.

try and do various workouts maybe try like 50 jumping jacks then go up and down the stairs 5 times then maybe like 20 situps...targeting various areas .......different things work for different people .....but it helps me lots to change up my activities.

i work out alot this works for me tho so hope that helps:)

Convince your guardian(s) to buy you a treadmill.
You could also get more active in school eg. Tennis, volley ball, net ball, female foot ball etc.

hate to tell you, but you are in bad shape!
just run everyday and dont give up and evntually you will find it easier and easier to run a longer dinstance!

Well we don't know if you're overweight or not.
But you're definately out of shape.
It could be due to malnutriention. That's a reason why you get tired easily.
DO you eat nonhealthy foods like junk food?
Maybe you could chnage your diet to a more nutriental diet like with vegatables and carbohydrate. Those minerals hives your body strength. Oh also a banana is a real quick energy food =D.
Um.. yeah don't do hardf task first but start developing.
Like go up and down the stairs as excercise for like 5 minutes and then 10 minutes
or take a little jog.
You know those typical excercise routines. It builds your strength and hopefully with the right diet and excercise you won't be tired. ALso don't push yourself because you'll get fatigue as you said your legs hurt.

Same with me! lol Actually, it's a good thing you noticed this. That just means your body is asking you to exersize more.

1. Try exersizing 30 minutes a day or every other day. It will work miracles for your body's strength.

2. Drink lots of water. It will allow you to revive after you run out of breath.

3. Eat vegetables with every meal.

That should do the trick. I hope you are able to get more fit!

BTW, weight doesn't define fitness so don't worry about that. You can be heavy and fit or skinny and unfit.

if you are 11 i know how you feel i am also 11years old and i get tired fast and i have astma maibe you have it also

You must have bad respitory and cardiovascular ethics. If i were you, i would constantly step up on one step and go back down, also known as step-ups. When you take a step forward, breathe in, when you take a step back, breathe out. It is important not to rush at first, or your breathing will be out of preportion. Once you think you're getting pretty good at it, go with 2 steps forward, 2 steps backward, and master that one, and so on...
This training will be very useful when it comes to stairs and obstacle exercises.

first of all you should gain wieght. your body is probably too weak to keep providing energy for you. you don't need to eat fatty food just healthy food, it will also keep you in shape.
