Can doing purely cardio help lose the little extra I carry in the middle?!

Yes it will. Cardio will burn fat, but you might want to do crunches to build muscle in your midsection, so once you burn all the fat away you have nice abs there. =)

running most generally will not help with ur stomach..i would reccomend sit ups and crunches..

cardio does burn calories. But, if you are eating more calories than you expend than your middle may stay the same or get worse. Here is a little scenario I tell my personal training clients, you can eat a dessert that is 1000 calories in 2-4 minutes, you can burn 400 calories in an HOUR on the treadmill, do the math. If you eat 2000 calories per day divided into 3-5 small meals and do cardio you are on the path to success. FYI, although you hate exercising it increases your muscles ability to burn calories even when your not working out. Muscles are the the v-8 engine that burns your bodies fuel so if your v-8 turns into a fuel efficient v-4 than your burning less calories even when your doing nothing at all. Good Luck

absolutely,but diet is the main factor here,get rid of the packaged **** and carbs
