You should probably be about 180 pounds of muscle and 160 if you wanna be small/toned. Just do cardio like for over an hour a day and you shoould reach your goal in about a year, maybe less.

Your right, if you are trying to get leaner its better to do weightlifting first then cardio. But the best is do your cardio on non lifting days, do it in the morning to burn fat not food that you consume.

Hi.
Since you are heavy you should not do any running as it will be very stressful for your ankles, knees and back. Stick with the exercise bike if you want to do cardio.
I personally think cardio is overrated. For every pound of muscle you add you will burn 50 more calories per day at rest. Cardio will not build muscle! My advice is concentrate on lifting. The more calories you burn the faster you will get rid of the blubber.
Try this program:
Day 1: Chest, deltoids, traps, triceps
Day 2: Back (lats and rectus) and biceps
Day 3: Legs and abs
Warm up with 2 light sets for each muscle and then do 2-3 working sets for each muscle. If you keep your reps in the 12-15 range you will tax the red muscle cells (they can burn both fat and glycogen) more than the white. When you reach rep 12 you should be having a hard time completing the rep, this has to be difficult to be productive. Train 3-5 times a week and make sure your diet is good and well balanced. The diet can make or break your efforts!!!
Good luck!

You need a combination of exercise and diet. For exercise I suggest you alternate between fat-burning exercises (walking at a speed of 6kph uphill for 30 mins) and cardio exercises (run for 5 mins, walk for 2 mins, keep alternating approximately 20mins). You can then follow this with weight exercises designed to tone the body not to build muscle. If you can do this for about 3 - 4 times a week you will probably lose an average of 2lbs a week. You might lose more depending on your mebolism rate. You can aim to lose between 40 and 50 pounds over a period of 4 to 5 months. Be realistic with your weeklyobjectives, avoid being in a hurry. remember it took years to reach your current weight do not expect loose it in days.

You will also need to review your diet, less fatty food, less carby and sugar fuelled foods, more protein and fresh fruit and Veg.

I can suggest a meal replacement program based on Herbalife products. See the link below for more options.

Too much cardio: A half an hour on the treadmill is a great way to get in shape-if you're a girl! the truth is that for most men, lengthy aerobics training is a disaster, Reason:Extended aerobic exercise shifts your body from burning fat to burning muscle. It also shuts down testosterone production .
If you want a cardio workout ,try brief, high intensity exercises. This let you burn fat without depleting muscle.
