Help losing weight?!


Question: ok, i am 5'8 and over weight. I way about 12 stone. i NEED help losing weight by May or sooner. i need help knowing which exercises are good for your core, thighs, back, arms/shoulders! also if i am 5'8 on average how much should i weigh?

Good exercises for your core can be things like crunches, sit-ups, pilates, even dancing is good. I have a pilates-dance blend workout video that is actually really fun to do.

For your thighs, I recommed running and leg rises. To do leg rises just lay on your side and move the top leg slowly up and down and then switch sides. Do about 50-100 of those. Running in the morning is a really good calorie burner. Don't be surpised if you can run that far the first couple weeks. It gets much easier after awhile.

For your arms, all you really need is a can of veggies. Take the can and put your arms together over your head. Then bend your arms back behind your head and back up again.

Diet is VERY important when trying to lose weight. Fast food is a big no-no, as are most sweets, chips, and fried foods. You can have really good food, you just have to be careful not to go back to your comfort foods when the going gets rough. Instead of cake, have some fruit, or even a small bar of chocolate, mainly dark if you like it. Look up recipes and watch the food channel for good ideas. Just remember most craving for sweets, chips, fast foods, and fried foods go away after a couple weeks. After that you will being to crave heathier foods like veggies, and fruits and other good foods. You can have your favorites such as ice cream, or even cake, just not all the time.

Becareful on what you are eating daily if you wanna loss weight.

not just excersicing lower weights, but you need to know how many calories your taking in, make sure you dont take in more than 2000 daily (and in the health box of food, it says PER serving, that means if you eat a whole bag of chips thats like 3 servings and if its says 120 calories, you just ate 480 calories! calories and exercises, must work together. its like a car , your putting in more gas than it can burn, therefore that gas collects up in the "arteries" and stuff. just make sure to burn more calories than you eat therefore you use up those calories that you have stored on your belly.

You don't sound overvly over weight, but it wouldn hurt losing about 20 pounds... which is somewhere between 1 and 2 stones. The way to lose body fat all over is by running. It takes off all the fat on your body basically. If you start running 3 miles a day you will be come trim and tone :) Hope that helps.

well i used to weigh 255 now i weigh 220 but i am still dieting and i am 6 feet tall, my ideal weight is around 188 but to lose my weight what I have personally done is cut out unnecessary sugars (candy, soda, juice, donuts, ect) unnecessary carbs (pasta, bread, white rice, potatoes, ect) i try to eat multi grain bread but not too much, i cut unnecessary fat (cooking with oils, fried foods, chips, ect) any protein i eat is boiled, and i started eating alot more vegetables and fruit on occasions, I also eat 4-5 times a day and do not wait for myself to get hungry since that causes over eating, yet when you eat your meals are small, eventually your body will get used to this, i also drink alot of water, and most inportantly to dieting i exercise, i personally do wieght training and walk, walking alot is a great exercise believe it or not, yet what is also really good is cardio (running, swimming, do yoga, pilates, ect).
it is not healthy to lose wieght extremely fast or to do miracle diets, what i did is i started dieting but not too strict and little by little went into a more strict diet... you can find your ideal wieght at this website i like it because it gives you 4 different equations of your ideal wieght http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.ht...

There is a Diet programmer called BAJAJ which last for a week with an out line as follows:
Day 1: All fruits except Bannanas,mangoes. Cantaloupes + Waterbury has low calories, + soups (tomato, onion, celery, capsicum, garlic, cabbage spices for taste) eat as much fruits and drink as much soup through out the day. For drink unsweetened tea, or water or Cranberry juice,

Day 2: only vegetables (no root vegetables, more of watery veg , keep away from peas, corn & dry beans) + soups (tomato, onion, celery, capsicum, garlic, cabbage spices for taste) eat as much veg and drink as much soup through out the day. For drink unsweetened tea, or water or cranberry juice, For dinner reward with a baked Potato and little butter for taste.

Day 3:
Eat all that of day 1 & 2 with out Potato ,

If you have strictly followed you would have lost 5 - 7 lbs by now.

Day 4: eat as much as 8 bananas and drink as much of skimmed milk, today you will require potassium and carbohydrates fro your body and protien+calcium+lessen to reduce you carvings for sweets.

Drink your soup and veg for this day.

Day 5: you can have 10-12 ounce of beef and tomatoes (a can) or 6 fresh normal size tomatoes. You need to drink 6-8 glasses of water to wash out your uric acid, drink your soup once today.

Day 6: eat beef and vegetables as much as you wish but leafy, even 2-3 steaks if you like.

Day 7: brown rice , unsweetened fruit juice & vegetable stuff, stuff.

This 7 days you must have lost 15-17 lbs if not cheated.

Strictly NO'S:
all this days: no alcohol , no mineral drinks, no health drinks, no fat milk, butter, ghee, cheese, bread, chocolates, sweets, coffee, unsweetened fruit juices, cranberry juice, skimmed milk( except the day recommended).

Medications will require doctors approval and this is recommended for normal health members and not any patients.

This diet programmer is strictly for 7 days and can be repeated after a week of break and should not be continued week after week.

TODAY I DONT REMEMBER TO HAVE SENT THIS TO 3-4 QUESTIONS.

in my opion DIETS DONT WORK but exercising & eating healthy DOES
