What are your favorite songs to work out to?!

Question: On Wednesday I will beginning weight watchers. I'm sure that they will suggest exercising daily, and even if they dong - i know that it is something that i must add to my lifestyle if I want to live a healthier life.

I have 70lbs to lose (longterm goal). I get so bored with exercises! I love swimming and occasionally (VERY occasionally, like once every other month during the winter) go to the local community center and make use of the indoor pool. Other than that, exercise is boring to me! no matter how many different kinds I try. no matter what videos i buy.

I love dancing-it just feels good. I've decided that I'm going to put together a few CD's that I can turn on in the morning or when I get home from work, and just dance!
I'm going to arrange the songs on the CD so that it starts off slow, has one super fast song in the middle, and then tapers off to slow songs (warm up, exercise, cool down type thing)

Just curious, what are some songs that get you into the dancing mood

JESS, I like all the slow ones, they are right for my age right now! You take it easy! You can loose 70 LBS. in a short time when you get the right exercises for YOU, go see the EXPERTS! Take care! Have a Great Evening! Jimmy.

Uh, I don't know about getting my into a "dancing" mood, but when I'm lifting weights I kind of like listening to "Low by Flo Rida (feat. T-Pain)". It's like really fast and fun to work out to, in my opinion.

I really like working out to very dancey/upbeat/pop songs I find they really help. I did try with indie/rock type music but it just didn't have the same effect on me.

Rage Against the Machine has good songs that pump me up and get me in the mood. Renegades of Funk and Killing in the Name to name a couple.

Automatic- Elize
Run It (REMIX)- Chris Brown
Brianstorm- Arctic Monkeys
Fell In Love With A Girl- White Stripes
Music Is My Hot Hot Sex- CSS
Piece of Me- Britney Spears
He Said She Said- Ashley Tisdale
When You Were Young (REMIX)- The Killers
Crying At The Discotheque- Alcazar
What You Waiting For?- Gwen Stefani
When the Sun Goes Down- Arctic Monkeys
The Way I Are- Timbaland
Fantasya- Robert Miles
Rock Your Body- Justin Timberlake

Hope this helps!! I listen to all these songs when I work out. The songs I listed are mostly upbeat.

I know it's boring, but I suggest you run, too. You can run around your block a few times, and after a while running becomes more fun when you can push yourself. What song gets me going is We Run This by Missy Eliott. Don't know why, but I can run so fast when that goes. Another fun one is Two of Hearts by Stacey Q.

Hmm...I listen to every genre of music, so when I work out I listen to everything from Rihanna to Metallica to Death Cab for Cutie, just something that fits my mood. May I suggest DDR? You get a very effective workout (if you're on workout mode), it calculates calories burned, and you have fun doing it!
