To lose one pound, you need to burn 3500 calories more than you consume. So if you consume 1000 calories a day and burn 1500 a day just walking, cleaning the house, and so on, you will lose one pound per week. If you consistently burn 2000 calories a day, you'll lose two pounds per week, which would come out to 32 pounds in 4 months. I'm afraid your goal may be unrealistic. You need to give yourself more time to lose the 40 pounds.
without exercise it wont work.
OMG if you find a diet please please let me know, i to just went to the doctor and i need to loose weight too, I also am 5 7 but weight 195. Good luck to you.
you would be better off setting a realistic eating plan, cut 500 calories off your current eating plan and do 20-30 mins of gentle exercise every day. it's called balance
