Questions about gaining weight?!

Question: Im a freshman in highschoo. I weigh about 94 right now. I hope to get to 110 by school starting next year. Im thinking about doing track but not sure. Is there a plan to gain weight and still run. Im best at long distance. Also does squating stunt your growth. I was told to do leg press and go light with squats.

im underweight too but i see a nutritionist

u need to eat MORE CALORIES THEN U BURN TO GAIN WEIGHT...EAT MORE OF THESE TYPES OF SNACKS/FOODS ...

dried fruit(especially raisins)-instead of fresh fruit
-Lean meats
-complex carbs(oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread/pasta)
-peanut butter(put on anything)-or other nuts
-"proto pure" protein bars....each has 300 calories and 32 g protein but are low fat(7-8g), ok carb(around 26), very low sugar(1g), very healthy and delicious...i like the chewy chocolate chip and chocolate deluxe..or the regular "pure" protein bars but they are smaller and only have around 180-200 calories and 20 grams of protein
-loose granola or muesli(as a good snack)
-potatoes and corn instead of greens
-drink BOOST PLUS and ensure plus(the chocolate is the best) they have 350-360 calories each and have alot of vitamins, healthy fats, and the carbs u need...look them up...there is a difference between the regular and the plus...
-milk/other dairy products
-beans/seeds

U HAVE 2 MAKE SURE U DONT BURN WHAT U EAT AND HAVE A HEALTHY SNACK BEFORE BED LIKE A PB&J SANDWICH AND A GLASS OF CHOCOLATE MILK or boost plus

ur gonna have to eat like 5000 calories a day(like i have to) r ogain weight and do track but i would not do it at all UNTIL i was heavier...

To gain weight, you work out and eat plenty of protein.
And no, squatting won't stunt your growth.

Eats lots of dairy and drink lots of milk. Especially right befor bed. You can also buy those ensure 350 calorie shakes and mix with some peanut butter. I gained 36 pounds in 4 wks. I was underweigth too, now I look awesome :)

Drink protein shakes. Go to your local health food store such as GNC and find a good protein powder for gaining weight. Some types have lots of calories and protein and are perfect if you want to gain weight, but mostly muscle and not fat. Supplement your protein shakes with a good weight training routine, and you're well on your way to packing on a lot of extra muscle. Good luck!

Not much of an answer, but these answers helped me.

Especially the one with the list of stuff.

Thanks.

People dont realize that it's just as hard to gain weight as it is to lose it (the muscle kind, that is)
