Are pilates good for losing fat and toning?!


Question: Pilates is good for toning but not for losing fat. It doesn't get your heartrate up enough to lose weight. Its better to do pilates and cardio and also lift weights.........

it is...along with a proper diet and doing some cardio also

I never had any good results from pilates. They are the lazy man's "exercise." You can get toned from more conventional methods. As a woman, you're not going to get bulky from traditional exercises anyway, unless you're on the juice, or do it 4 hours a day. Pilates are in no way a replacement for traditional cardio when it comes to losing weight.
