Sure it probably does. What I love about Seventeen is that not only do they celebrate all sorts of body types, but they promote healthy eating and exercise, whether your goal is to lose weight, get more toned, gain endurance, etc. Other magazines emphasize being skinny-minnies with perfect bodies that are impossible to attain (like Cosmopolitan, Shape, etc.)

And you don't have to eat the food Seventeen featured. According to them, the 5 key foods are:

low-fat protein: You can find these in lean chicken, turkey, eggs, fish, nuts, beans, etc. This is good for muscle building and repairing.

fiber: fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains...eating lots of fiber actually helps with losing weight since the nutrients digest easier and keep you full longer. Also, it makes you have to go the bathroom and do #2 (sorry to be graphic lol) and fiber counteracts the fat in foods

healthy fat: Mono or poly unsaturated fats found in walnuts, salmon, olive oil, etc. I heard somewhere that Omega fatty acids improve your mood and help you think clearer...and they improve your hair and skin.

Healthy carbs: Not all carbs are bad!! Get brown rice and whole grain stuff instead of "white" foods. Whole grains slowly but surely give you energy and contain lots of fiber, whereas white carbs spike up your energy and then causes you to be tired pretty fast.

Sugar-free beverages: Water, tea, etc. You could have diet soda once in a while, but it's actually no better than regular soda. Oh yeah, and also don't forget low fat milk (I like me some soy though) and stuff like that. However, you can treat yourself once in a while to Starbucks! (they now offer "skinny" lattes in which the tall drinks are only 90 calories)

Anyway...good luck, and I hope this helps!

if your healthy than you shouldn't worry about being skinny. because if all you worry about is being skinny than you won't be healthy. but i'm sure if you follow it to a "T" than it will probably work otherwise i doubt it.

Does anyone know what?
