Well, lets "back" up a bit. If you don't have any debilitating injuries, or are not currently under a physician's care for an ailment or injury that would prevent you from exercising your back, then yes it is essential to exercise your back. Also, take into consideration that you back consists of several muscle groups, and they have the complicated job of maintaining balance and dealing with the torques and pressures that occur with every day movement. Therefore it is essential to keep them in good condition with a regular exercise regime. This in turn can prevent many future back ailments.

yep...i've worked out with shoulder pain, leg, arm, foot, hand, knee, ankle..etc pain....but back pain....nope...I shut it down until that puppy is 100% again.

must have a strong back. I would say it's very essential in training.

Working this giant muscle mass triggers the release of large amounts of growth hormone, which in turn stimulates muscle growth throughout your body and kicks your fat burners into overdrive.

Also you back provides support and sability to your other muscles including your legs

When refering to the lower back, it's critical and always overlooked because it doesn't show up like the other vanity muscles (including your lats, which are back muscles)

When it come to true "strength", your lower back, hips and stomach are key. They form the base for everything else.

Yes!
