Diet and work out plan needed for 21 y/o female please help?!


Question: My daughter has told me she wants to lose 20-25 pounds and wants to eat healthy(er), and start doing exerciszes.

She is 21 and I will say does not have healty eating habbits. What I would like to have is a list of healty drinks she should be drinking, right now its soda and gateoraid, and energy drinks.

She east a lot she eats candy, chips, stake, fast food, and I belive she over eats. What should she be eating and how much.

Another things is that I feel she eats way too last at night eating at like 9 or 10 and even 11pm!

For working out she walks maby once or twice a week.
She wants to lose her tummy, upper arm flab, love handles, thighs and butt.

Please help, ideas and tips would be great, maybe a list of what she should buy to eat and drink etc..

tell her to stop eating anything that comes in a box, or package. By this i mean she should be filing up on real whole foods. Lean protein and a lot of fruits and veggies. Nothing pre-packaged because its loaded with hidden calories, not to mention harmful chemicals.

Her diet should consist of apples, oranges, grapefruits, and melons. Also berries are very high in anti-oxidants and other nutrients.

Lots of veggies: broccoli, spinach, salad greens, cucumbers etc.

Lean protein: white tuna, chicken breast (skinless), turkey breast and white fishes like sole, flounder, and halibut.

Beverages: tea (unsweetened), water (1/2 gallon per day) NOTHING CARBONATED

Limit sugars and starches.. The weight will pour off.

lay off the junk!!! eat 3 meals a day and exercise at least an hour evry day!! yoga is good

actually, eating 3 meals a day is not the new way to diet

you should eat tiny meals throughout the day...(my doc has recommended this and it workd)
and that way you wont ever be starving and wont overeat
which is the prob. with eating only 3 times a day

just eat tiny little meals throughout the day and she shouldnt be any where as near as hungry for sooo much food and wont eat way too much or too late

O.K. HERE'S THE DEAL!! ??? you KNOW what to do and so does she...it's the doing of it that is the trick! It's like having a job..everyone wants a paycheck but no one really wants to work! FEAR NOT..21 YEAR OLD GIRL ...

Start NOW...
tomorrow is a monday ..at some point tomorrow you will walk for 15 minutes at a healthy clip. Pick a time that you like..(and you'll never like THAT time again!!!ha ha).. the biggest step is to just take a step.
Excercise, even moderate...which is 3 - 4 days a week for 45 min.
or everyday for 20...you decide but once you think this through..go out the door and do it.
When you come back acknowledge to yourself that you just did a really positive thing for yourself. You just took the first step. (litterally)
Trust me...I know how to do this...YOU CAN GET IN SHAPE BY SUMMER

GET A BUDDY!!!! You have to have someone who is really motivated and you have to help them stay motivated. Think about your friendsa or a neighbor...think outside your regular little circle. I once called a lady who was 20 years older than me..hermother had just dies and I knew her a little bit from church. She seemed like a fun person and I thought we could be good for each other and we were and still are!! Find someone to do the program with!! As strange as it may seem...your mom is probably not the best choice. You can eat together...but it's waaayyy to easy to talk yourselves out of walking if you live in the same house. You have to know that someone is waiting for you on the corner. I can't stress this enough...we are starting this week with a plan that will keep you happy and fit for life! Think about this!!
