The healthiest diet!!?!

Question: What would you recommend as a healthy diet? Could you recommend 2 days worth of three different meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as to what would be a healthy option.

My wife and I are having debates as to what is good and what is not, so I would like something good to respond with! :D

Wow...a lot of trendy answers here. A "healthy" diet is one that consists of balance and nutritional value. A diet rich in whole grains, unsaturated fats, lean proteins, and full array of neccesary micronutrients (vitamins and minerals.) For the normal person (somewhere between competitive athlete and couch potato) the macronutrient ratio (carbs, fats, proteins) should fall somewhere in this range: Carbs--60-65% of daily caloric value, Fats--20-30%, Proteins--10-15%. Following these guidelines while keeping your total caloric count within a healthy range (about 2,500 to 2,800 cals per day for men) will provide you with a healthy diet, in general. While almost impossible to make an "exact" meal plan for two people whom I have never met, have no info on eating habits and preferences, no fitness/weightloss goals established, and no basal health information--it's really difficult to recommend a meal plan for two days. Remember, for average folks, a balanced diet is THE healthiest way to go. If you would like, E-mail me some info about your specific questions and I'll be glad to help.

A good diet is a good lifestyle.
Whole grains, green veggis and lean meats are a must.
Fats should come from flax, evo and omega's Placing together a diet with these key factors is easy. Everyones body is going to be different, so making a diet really depends on your body type, goals and your activity level.

The above poster does this on every question in this section. she has failed to truly answer one and only promotes her clensing garbage. Once the clensing is done what then?

Oh, just take your wife's side... after all, women are always right ;)

Lemme see...
BREAKFAST: Whole grain bread with peanut butter w/ fruit/ whole grain cereal w/ soy milk w/ a banana.

LUNCH: Some sort of salad and a cup of soup/ Turkey Sandwich ( It's hard for me to say that since I am a veggie) w/ celery and carrots w/ light ranch.

DINNER Beans and Rice (of any kind)/ Baked Ckn w/ steamed veggies with a light sauce on them.
