How can I lose 15 pounds by March 15, 2008, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!?!

I was in your EXACT situation 2 years ago (ok, I was 26). I lost 20 pounds. Here's my tips:

Keep up the exercise!

Keep track of what you eat - try fitday.com. It makes it much easier. Not only do you see that a piece of cake has the same amount of calories as an entire sandwich AND salad, but sometimes it works the other way - a hershey's mini is only like 40 calories - such a good treat!

I kept my calories to under 1700 and that worked well for me.

Another thing that kept me on track, was a lot of planning. I know that I need to have a snack at night, so I always planned one in. Some days, I'd have frozen yogurt, popcorn AND hot coco while I watched TV at night, but I didn't feel bad about it, because I had planned for it.

Also, take some time to go through the menus of your favorite restaurants (at least the ones that have nutrition info online) and pick out the healthiest options so you aren't stumped when you end up out with friends and have to pick something quickly.

To lose weight this fast you would have to excise alot and eat nutrition food.

u can lose up to 4 pounds a week with hard hard work

count calories less your diet 500 calories a day = lose a pound a week

When u get up in the morning drink a cup or warm water(not hot but already a lill hot)and then u go for a walk or extercie and u drink lots of water....and dont eat much fast food!ppl always say meet gains weight...trust me it dosnt my parnts got on a diet and los good weight just of eating good stuff and drink water....so feel free to eat meet and other stuff...dont eat 2 many vegetales they have sugar....but if u do this what i tell you trust me u will loose weight!

count calories, in what you normally eat 3000 calories = 1lbs.
of gain or loss. if you cut 3000 calories a week you lose a pound without exersising...more with exersise.
you can lose that easily with a good diet, 1500 calories or so per day, and exersise. use whole grains and avoid simple sugars and carbs, as well as fatty foods. Simple sugars and
carbs you get from processed food like white bread, soda, etc.
Research the glycemic index for foods that slow down and or speed up your metabolism.
go as wholegrain and unprocessed as possible with the food you eat. Good luck.

Loosing weight will depend on your excercise and calorie intake. For you body to drop weight it will need to be in a calorie deficit. This means that your daily energy requirement will need to succeed your daily calorie intake. If you wish to loose 15 pounds in roughly 60 days, then your calorie deficit will need to be exactly 875 calories a day.

It is considered unhealthy, as well as destructive to your metabolism, to decrease your daily calorie intake any more than 500 calories a day, so this means, like you said, that some excercise will need to be involved as well.

So I advise you to discover how many calories you are eating on any given day, by reading food labels and perhaps writing it down. Then decrease that calorie amount by 500. This can be done much more easily than you think. Make food choices that are low in fat as well as high in protein and fiber. Protein and fiber promote the feeling of fullness, even when not as much food has been eaten. Instead of eating 3 large meals a day, eat several (4-5) small meals. This will keep you full throughout the day, as well as promote a fast and healthy metabolism.

Now for your exercising, I would suggest choosing a lightweight activity, such as brisk walking. This will be a good introduction activity. I would not suggest jogging because this is hard on your knees. But choose which exercise is right for you and your lifestyle. Try to fit it in with your daily ruitine.

Different activites burn different amounts of calories, so keep in mind that you'll need to burn an extra 375 calories a day with exercise. Here are a few excercises and how many calories they burn for a 155 pound person. Keep in mind that these are per hour.

Running at 5mph: 494
Walking (3mph, moderate speed) 162
Bicycling (light effort; leisure) 353

These are just a few exercises you can do. Search the internet to find more, there are literally thousands.
