Vitamin Energy Drinks, better than Coke or Pepsi?!

Question: I am trying to stop drinking Coke, but its been really hard. I know if i kick the habit of cola drinks, I would loose weight. I drink nothing else but soda, because its gotten to the point that i get head aches with out the caffeine. I tried the vitamin energy-fruit punch and i really liked it. the bottle says that its good for you..and it has caffeine..do you think that the vitamin energy drinks would be better for me...or are both bad. Any suggestions on how to quit drinking soda?

Bottom line if you want to lose weight kick all the soft drinks you can keep off up to 25 pounds by not drinking soda, Gatorade, vitamin water iced tea etc. start reading labels high fructose corn syrup is your enemy not only will you gain weight from it but you can develop diabetes. in the end nothing is better then regular water.

EASY WATER

There is a new cola with all those vitamins you find in energy drinks now.
Water, juice

both bad

BUT it will be a lot better than that coke/pepsi

drink water!

I drink coffee. It makes me poop.

how much sugar does it have. if it has the same amount as sodas if they do drink a little soda with your dinner the rest of the day drink water.

drink diet soda...no claories :)

or crystal light packets mixed in water...only 10 calories

The "energy drinks" are nothing more than expensive Kool-aid with vitamins added. Don't buy the stuff.

The only way to stop drinking soda... is to stop drinking soda. Diet sodas are no good, as the artificial sweeteners in them are likely addictive, and are certainly hazardous to your health. Replace soda with water: clean, pure, cold. If you're not fond of water, add a squeeze or two of lemon and/or lime to your glass, for flavor.

stick to water...there all filled with shittt.....try drinking gatorade perhaps..it`s a healtier substitute....oh and quitting coke won`t mean you lose weight..so remember that..in the long run it will help your body tho

both of them aren't so wonderful for you, but vitamin energy is deffinatley better for you!

(fruit punch is my favorite kind too! :D )

Both bad...I drink vitamin water...has some sugar and calories but it's better then soda...try it

I wouldn't drink that fizzy black stuff too often if I were you unless you want to end up with the insides of your stomach rotting away.

U don't have to quit just don't drank as much as u usually do
DO NOT get diet .why? Because diet has more caffeine that regular drinks !!!! HOPE THIS HELPS

If you just put your mind to stopping it, you can totally do it. Buy a reusable cup and always get water with ice. No charge so you save money and calories. If you always go to a certain place, see if they sell a cup with their logo on it, it's always cheaper if you advertise for them. And you help the environment, and no calories. After a while, you'll get used to no caffiene...I swear.

well, it is probably better than coke.
but the thing is, sugar is sugar and caffeine is caffeine.
even most 100% fruit juices contain tons of sugar!
you should really just drink water.
if you like flavor, you can put some lemon in it, which will also detoxify your body a bit.
but if that isn't the flavor you are looking for, just look for juice with low amounts of sugar, or sugar substitutes.
although, sugar substitutes are not good for you either.

you could also try caffeine-free tea!

Our family stopped buying soft drinks and started drinking a lot more water two years ago and it has been an amazing health benefit.
Also, getting enough sleep at night is an enormous health benefit.
Most days do not eat anything after seven thirty pee em and you will lose weight as well.
Your body will learn to function normally without caffeine.
Doodad
Besides, caffeine can cause sinus drying which makes people more inclined to infections, and the phosphates in sodas are bad for the spine.

i dunno, cut the amount down slowly? ....anyway i love vitamin water!! :D but the smaller bottles are prob better cause then u drink less of it :D

yeah vitamin energy drinks are way better
i just quit drinking soda like 2 years ago cause i was getting kinda fat and it's bad for your health very bad
O and cold water is wayy better i'm addicted to cold water & also and milk :]

Try Vita Rain it awesome!

water is best....
but there is now Diet Coke Plus with vitamins and such (and it still has the caffeine).

the other think is tea/iced tea, it has caffeine in it as well (not as strong as cola for me) but it works and it's not carbonated, and it is virtually fat free if you don't add sugar. you could add fake sweetener. and the best part is it's mostly water, which is best.

the iced tea thing worked really well for me when i had to stop drinking soda for swimming in high school, and when i lost a bunch of weight.

hope that helps,
kat

I had to completely detox my body to finally kick the habit of diet coke and coffee...I was really bad I used to require this gormet type coffee from Lees Sandwich shop it was iced and sweet and yummy but I tried giving it up on my own for several years and unfortunately I would be back to drinking at least 1 coffee in the morning and several diet cokes a day....I read the Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs and it worked. I recently redid the cleanse because of my Holiday splurge with sweets....It's now been several years since i've had coffee and or any type of soda....And have maintained 28lb weightloss

Both soooooooooooooo bad for you! These companys want to make $ They won't tell you about the bad side effects...like rotten teeth..etc. It will take time to get used to plain water- do it. Also any juices are good if you add 1/3 water to them (in your glass)
