Why can't I stop eating?!


Question: This has nothing to do with weight issues. I'm a skinny girl with a fast metabalism, always have been. I am gaining a little weight from this, but that's not what I'm worried about. All I want to do is EAT. Even when I'm full, I eat. I get cravings for everything. This is just suddenly happening, within the past month. I'm 19 and this never happens to me during my period or anything. I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs, and ate a snickers, a can of peaches, a can of soup, a snack pack, two double cheeseburgers, crackers, and a 10 peice mcnugget, and i STILL want to eat. What's going on with me? Is it just mental or could it be physical??

Fresh fruit and whole gain breads will help you feel full longer. Forget the "all carbs are bad" idea, just lay off white bread/rolls, white rice and non-whole grain pasta. One thing that will help you lose weight is SNACKS! Yes, a piece of fruit or a (low sugar) yogurt or (low sugar) granola type bar mid morning and afternoon will help you not munch on chips and stuff. Don't skip breakfast.
Increasing your water consumption would be good. Go for lean meats and remember that according to the dietitians a "serving" of meat is 4 ounces... about the side of a normal deck of playing cards. So watch your portions and fill up on fruits and vegetables.

omg, me too! and i'm really worried. i used to hate food! i seriously ate so little. and now i can't stop. and i already ate like, 3 servings of chips and an apple pastry and bread.

Are you taking vitamins? It's normal, I think. I'm a skinny girl myself and have very fast metabolism, I love eating as well. Hehe. Just eat all you can. It's much better than starving yourself. Isn't it great eating all you want and not get fat?
