well, its different for many people. It will take a couple of weeks for the medicine to work into ur system but the Dr. will monitor u over the next couple of weeks & check ur TSH levels again to make sure u are getting the right dose. Yes, u should be able to lose a few pounds along with diet & exercise but remember they r not diet pills, however u may stop gaining more weight whle taking the pills since ur metablosim should be back on track. good luck!
You're going to have to work to lose the weight you have gained. It's not going to just melt away. The meds should help keep you from gaining anymore weight. So basically yeah you should be able to lose the weight.
