Help please??!


Question: I currently weigh 165 lbs, but I want to weigh between 130 and 140 lbs.. preffably 130 lbs.. It is my new years revolution to lose 35 lbs, and keep my weight under controll, but it's not going my way so far.. I only gain, I was 157, now I'm 165.. I don't want to gain anymore, I want to lose.. Please, help me come up with a diet plan, including the excercises.. My family has a history of heart attacks, heart failure, and heart complications due to obessity.. I don't want to eventually die because of it, Please, help!!!

The key to losing weight is lifestyle changes . . . This does not mean that you will not be able to eat anything fun for the rest of your life. It can start with little changes that you form into habits.

If you are a teenager, you need at least three servings of milk or milk products per day . . . change to skim milk, eat yogurt,(I love the whipped yogurt) etc.

Take your weight and divide by two . . . this is the amount of water your body needs per day to lose weight. Sometimes our bodies tell us we are hungry when we are really dehydrated and thirsty.

Chew each bite of food thirty times if you can. This gives you time to enjoy that morsel of food. Remember once you swallow that bite you can no longer enjoy it, and have to take another. lol It also gives you that 20 minutes your body needs to signal the brain that it is no longer hungry, so you feel full faster. (Believe me! It works.)

It is little changes like these that start you on your road to a healthier and slimmer you.

I would try weightwatchers if you have not already done so. It is fun, and they give you tools to educate you regarding how many points each food has. Registration is free right now, and you weigh in every week. If you can afford it . . . just go the first couple of times and get the books they give you, or buy them on e-bay . . . these will tell you how many points each food equals. You can even find weightwatchers recipes on the internet . . ./ google them, and see. You could help cook these delicious dishes for your family . . . experiment a little . . . have fun . . . you and your family will enjoy this . . . and you are helping everyone that you love. Oooey, gooey mac and cheese can even be healthier . . . just follow some of these weightwatcher recipes. There are people all over who take pride in coming up with creating delicious ww points recipes that are better for you. . . . it's your ingredients . . .
It is learning to eat healthier. Not giving up everything you love . . . that sounds like it makes sense, but it is also unrealistic. What a dull life. God did not intend for us to eat dull . . . just smarter.

Looking at your weight right now . . . you can have between 20 to 25 points a day. (WeightWatchers)

Okay . . . what does this mean . . . well
Each food is assigned a point . . . . some don't even have any points (raw celery, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc) . . . you are burning all the calories just eating them . . . so why don't we do this all the time???? Because it gets boring fast . . . believe me . . .lol.

3 cups of buttered popcorn is 5 pts
1 2" brownie is 5 pts
1 large fresh apple is 2 pts.

See????


4 piece chicken McNuggets and 1 Vanilla fat-reduced ice cream cone is 8 pts.
or

1 McDonald's cheeseburger and 1 small fries is 12 pts.

see you still have choices

Also Slimfast has a wonderful website that you can use free . . . it has weight loss tools and everything.

I admire you for wanting to eat healthier . . . you can make it fun . . . don't feel that it is gloom and doom . . . start slowly . . . or you will crash and burn . . . if you can get some of your family members involved I promise that it will be fun, and a positive thing for everyone involved. Where do you live?
You can visit Dr. Cone in Dallas. Sometimes it's an allergy that makes you gain weight. I can give you his info. if you want, just e-mail me.
You can also walk 30 mins a day. Eat less bread, pasta, anything with wheat. Less sweets. Brush your teeth after your meals, somehow that helps with not feeling hungry after you eat. Drink more water. Eat more fruits and vegetables..

Just calm down, you're not going to die.
Think Positive :)
First you're aiming for 35 pounds.
That means you're going to have to think of a plan.
Everytime you go to pick up a snack or something you know that is unhealthy, ask yourself [ Am I really hungry ? ]
If not?, drink some water or do something else to take your mind off of food.
-- Here are some tips.
Stay AWAY from Sweets, yes that means icecream, candy bars, all of that.
- Drink water, water, and water [ nothing else but water ]
- Try to limit your intake or Bread, although Carbs can be good for you.
As long as you limit those things then you should be very fine.
Also, Exercise, exercise & exercise.
But don't overexercise.

It's also great to keep a Diet Journal.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Put down everything that you ate & be aware that You are the only one that will see this.
Everyday look back on what you ate the day before that, were you satisfied? were you angry?

Hey there! Okay, Well, tell you the truth, I can't help too much, because im a 14 year old, guy:P But i can give you some sagestions.. Okay, first of all, If you eat, alot of junk food, like chocolate, & Greacy foods, It can put weight on you like anyhting, Aswell as takeout restuaraunts.. They are all really bad for your weight, if you really want to loose weight:P Just, stick with Good foods with fiber, protein, etc Stuff, that isent all that bad, & a treat once in a while.. Wont hurt ( : but dont be to god to yourself:P Keep control of what you eat, try a diet, of vegtiables & meat, but dont deepfri, anyhting that makes your weight worsen, Anyway hope i was a bit of help, Best of luck, for you ( : & dont put your self down over it, just take the time & loose it it wont be too hard but keep to it remember ( :
