How can I change my bowel movement schedule?!

Question: I am a healthy 31 year old, and I am sick and tired of always struggling to wait until I get home from work (9-5 type of job). Since I am a consultant and work at different locations all the time, I can't always predict how nice/nasty the bathrooms will be at work...

Also, I am at risk for heart disease so I need to take Metamucil and eat oatmeal for breakfast but I have been skipping both of those in the morning since I don't want to have to 'go' at work... especially where I am currently at since the place sucks and people have even seen a cockroaches in the bathroom....

Here's my current eating/living schedule:

circa 8am - Starbucks white chocolate mocha
circa 9 or 10 am - banana
12:30 or so - small lunch
1 or 2 - small chocolate snack
2 or 3 - snack at work (chips or other salty snack)
6 or 7 - get home from work, race to the bathroom for bm and then dinner immediately following - after washing hands of course:)
12 or 1am - go to bed

Thanks!

bowel movement problems are usually related to inadequate water intake.. drink lots and LOTS of water even if it makes you pee (your body will adjust) and limit foods with high salt content. btw I really don't think you're eating enough based on what you just said, that too could be contributing to poor bowel movement. the regularity is good but add alot of fibre into your meals, like big salad sandwiches or pasta for dinner. also if you eat all this at night you'll probably have a bm in the morning which will not interfere with your work. good luck
