Lunch Ideas for Weight Loss?!

Question: I'm looking for lunch ideas that don't include bread / pasta / rice or potatoes.

These are what i've been advised to cut out due to intolerances. I'm trying to lose weight so it has to be really good for me.

So far chicken salad is all i've came up with and i'm getting sick of it but i don't wanna give up my diet outta boredom of one thing

Thank You

Hmmmm....let me think...you could just try changing the meat in your salad and the sauce that goes with it...like there's this gorgeous meat called turkey rashers that taste just like baco but only have 25 cals per slice...and the slices aren't stingy either. You could try chopping up some of that and mixing it with a low fat version of any sauce.

Soups

I buy lots of fruit, apples, pears, bananas, melon, kiwi fruit, mango, passion fruit, strawberries, raspberries etc I chop them up, put them in a tupperware tub and keep it in the fridge. This is what I eat with a big glass of water for lunch when I am dieting!

Good luck xx

omlette with beans?
Soups?
thats all i can think of.....good luck

What about soup? Then you have loads of different flavours to choose from

Soup is verrrry filling and low fat - Progresso has a new line (0 point for weight watchers) look for that on the label.

Tuna w/ balsamic vinegar - if you like tuna try this... it sounds odd but is very satisfying. The protein keeps you full for a while and balsamic vinegar curbs your appetite (I eat it on everthing)

Yogurt/ Fat free ricotta cheese with splenda & vanilla or w/ jelly is actually one of my favorites. The ricotta cheese has very low carbs and again - keeps you full for a while

Lean lunch meat (pre packaged is okay - so you can see the calorie value) roll that up w/ some light cheese

Egg whites with salsa and a little bit of cheese

Vegetables... either fresh or frozen.. Take a container of your favoite vegetables and toss them w/ some spices & red pepper flakes.. heat in the microwave

Cottage cheese and crushed pineapple

These are just a few ideas.. if you need recipes - i have more!

chicken and vegetable soup

Here are some great recipe's

Other things you can try would be maybe a turkey burger patty with veggies or salad, Tuna (tuna salad, or tuna on a whole wheat tortilla or low carb tortilla with lettuce etc), chef salad, eggs or egg whites (maybe like an omelet), ministroni soup-low cal and healthy or other broth based soups...
Hope this gives you a good start, make sure your eating 5-6 small meals a day, and a MINIMUM of 1200 calories per day.

Hope this helps, good luck,
Toni Lynne =)
