Why am I gaining arm muscle, when all I am doing is a cardio exercise on my exer!


Question: Maybe you're losing fat in your arms... defining your arms more... ;-)

Keep up the cardio though, your heart is the most important muscle in your body!

When exercising, you are probably gripping the handlebars too tightly

Is it one of those exercise bikes where you use your arms as well as your legs?

Hmm...are you sure you're not doing anything different in your daily life that you might not think of as exercise? It might just be that you're losing body fat overall and making your arms look more defined and muscular. It sounds like a good thing though.

You are not gaining muscle but losing fat which is making your arms appear bigger and stronger more vains etc.

You will not be able to stop this and it is a good sign that you are excersising properly.

I agree with Mike S. It could be that you are leaning out and those muscles are showing up more. When I started working out last year, I wasn't doing any isolated arm exercises. But I was doing punches in my urban rebounding class and suddenly there was definition in my arms. You could be one of those lucky people that tones easily.

Do you have a bell on your bike that you can,t resist ringing?
