Hungry after workout?!

Question: I have been doing low carb which has been great for my appetite control, but since I started working out too I am so hungry in the evening. Why? Should I eat something before or after I workout? Serious answers only please!

I am a runner, and I know all about be hungry. It's good thing that you are hungry. It means you are burning calories (YAY), which of course means you are burning energy. Your body needs energy, so it craves food. I would eat after you work out. Try not to give into to sweet cravings. It would be really good for you to eat something with protein in it after you work out. Some people like those protien shakes. Another good thing is peanut butter on whole weat bread. I know you are on a low carb diet... but you need carbs while you work out. Meats are fatty and they turn into fat in your body. Carbs also turn into fat, but if you use the carbs before they turn into fat by working out, you will get more muscles instead of fat!

Hope that helps..

Eating after a workout is better. You're hungry just because you are burning carbs. It's completely normal

However, don't eating before a workout. Doing that can cause cramps which is bad

you deffinately want to eat befor a workout ( workout about an hour after u have eatin) also, when you eat, dont watch T.V. it makes you forget that u ate, and then later on makes you more hungry.

You definitely want to eat a little something before a workout.. I always eat my meal a hour n a half to two hours before a workout, and usually 30 min before eat a protein bar..
After the workout i Drink Tons of Water, and usually have a fruit of some sort, ex: apple, orange, banana..
You should be fine if you do this.
You shouldnt eat a big meal Right before you work out, that can cause Major cramps, so leave room for your food to Digest... a hour or so is Great!!
